GOOGLE PR
When I first launched my site in 1999, I paid for an adult listing in Yahoo and Yahoo used to send me 90% of my traffic. Gradually this dropped away to a few dozen hits from Yahoo..
I started to live by Google PR believing the higher PR the higher Google would list me in the serach engines. Sure enough for my keywords "used panties" and "worn panties" I managed to claim number one spot on Google. Then on the last round of updates Google decided (quite kindly) to throw me in at #2 for the single word "panties".. Now out of the millions of web pages out there does Google really believe that my PR4 index page is the highest ranked one on the web containing the keyword 'panties'? I am not complaining but it sure has opened my mind up that PR is not the be all and end all... Sue www.saucypanties.com |
that little green bar gets less and less relevent everyday... doing business by PR alone is not a good idea IMO although it seems that alot of people seem to do it that way

Nice ranking you have there... and yeah, PR is not to thank/blame for it. I could show you how to get a PR10... it's just too easy to manipulate.

blargh... PR is important... but you have to differentiate between the PR on the toolbar and your real PR (which is impossible to know, so it's not worth worrying about).
