I just started my first blog a couple of days ago. I'm sure my time will come. |thumb

I was hit about 3 weeks ago, with so much damn spam, but Wordpress threw them in the garbage.

Is commenting really that important on an adult blog? Unless you're posting controversial articles that you want feedback on, I'd disable it.

I used to get hit daily but then I used their spam filter and I get nothing now.

Even comments ping aggregators though. Besides, how would you trackback without comments?

Do most blogging folks have open comments? Or registered?

commenting is instrumental for your blogs links in and out to grow organically.

without commenting and trackbacking you're hardly blogging. :)

I agree. Just curious if people leave comments wide open or some kind of restriction? Seems most people are using wordpress, I have been using movable type. Have to check, think there is some comment spamming stuff in there.
