Hotel with a fishing pier.

I wanna go on vacation. Looking for a nice hotel with a fishing pier in Florida where I can sit around all day and do nothing. Anyone know of a place like that?

What type of fishing?

If you went to Marathon, Florida, that's supposedly some fishing capital of the world. You can also fish off the 7 mile bridge and catch all sorts of things. Its the point where the Gulf and Ocean seem to meet and it produces some wicked currents and sea life appears to like that.

If you go to Pahokee, on Lake Okeechobee, supposedly that is some of the better bass fishing, although, with the recent turmoil over the lake, call first.

There are headboats that leave out of Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, etc.

On the West Coast I'm sure Tampa/St. Pete will have some piers near hotels.

You might find it a bit difficult to find a hotel that has a pier right there, but, walking distance/short drive you should be able to look around most of the state depending on what you want to fish for.

note: I'm not a fishing person, but, have a friend that is.

if they charge hourly and have little boxes to put quarters in next to the bed, then i'd worry. |cool|

Newport Beach Resort in Hollywood, Florida :) Let me know if the murphy beds swallow you up and trap you in the wall when you turn over in the middle of the night :)

A bed that basically folds up against the wall -- usually signifies a small room.

Hi Mishi!!!!! How are you doing? What's been going on..anything exciting?

This is the place I found but didn't like the beds, Newport Beach Resort in Hollywood, Florida. It can be found in the vacation packages at Expedia.
It was a sort of mini suite thingy with a "wall bed" in a little separate area and a living area with a fold out couch and table and chairs and TV etc.
Its decently priced too.
