Angry And Confused

OK, here is the rant..It seems to me that there is something pretty wrong with an affiliate program that sends you links to their new site/ pics in an email and expect you to link, but upon inspection of the long and involved link code you realize it doesnt have your affiliate code on it.

Not only does it not have your affiliate info in it's confusing code, it doesnt even link to those pics in their hosted galls or their free content.

Just really really tired of (seemingly)unethical junk like that from programs.

I dunno maybe it's just me.

Alright Im done with my useless rant.

I hear ya, I've been adding fhg's to a site I'm building up and many of the fhg's from one particular sponsor 404 and go to a TGP that does not carry the affiliate code over, or for that matter even promote the site the fhg's are for. Not a huge deal if you ( or your script ) take the time to confirm that all your links are working and working properly, but I'm sure there's tons of people who don't and end up sending this TGP tons of traffic and potentially signups which they're not getting paid a dime for.

Many sponsors send e-mails with the latest FHG's, and you still have to replace the XXX with your code. Lazy to me.

thats what happens when sponsors have to pay the bandwidth bill of hosting FHGS,some may monkey around then say..oops technical error

Actually it's not even the silly XXX's that the problems, those are relatively obvious. Im talking about the ones that arent so obvious.

Lazy on either ones behalf..not so sure, because I know even individual coding like that for emails can cost money, so I can appreciate it..but just sending the code as if ...grrrr makes me want to poop in a box and mail it to them.

If the e-mail system is integrated with the stats/affilate program, should'nt be much coding at all. Course I am not a affiliate scripts expert.. :D

Many moons ago, I knew a graphics dude that would do work for a program, and would sign up to it quietly. He would then send his client the finished HPA and FPAs with HIS codes in the html. Many programs would post it AS IS without looking. He was making some nice extra coin off that trick.

lol That's not bad... lol

As for the FHG's that come in email, I never use the ones out of the email; for me its simple enough to log into my account with the affiliate, and go to their hosted gallery section... when I'm logged in it has my referral code & I don't have that problem :D
