So, my wife gets this call.

ehhh...we are going to get screwed anyway. I saw a civil war movie a while back and I remember this line by a confederate general. "The North will win." When asked why he explained, "We (the South) just want to live our own lives. The North wants us to live the way they want us to."

The same is true with the Republicans. We, (the non-Republicans) just want to live our own lives unhindered by the government. The Republicans want us to live the way they want us to live. I find the Supreme Court listening to an Abortion Case very telling. A Supreme Court Justice once said, "we will never hear another Abortion Case. I would tear the country apart."

Sorry about my rant but...the time for revolt is getting closer and closer. This is why I believe in one thing the Republicans believe. We need to have the right to own guns. It was made an amendment so that we (the people) someday may need to overthrow the government if it gets crazy.

What ever happened to the Republicans believing that we should have less government?

Business Week magazine, May 23rd edition. There is a huge multipage article about the religeous right, and how it is rapidly expanding, and how bush is beholden to them. In one place, the are converting a past NBA arena into a 16,000 seat church, complete with lasers, smoke machines, rock and roll lighting, and more. It is designed not only to deliver the message in word, but to allow christian rock, rap, and country bands to have another way to preach through music to the younger generation.

These people are coming for your children.

They are also specifically targeting 5-10 weak democratic senate seats, looking to get enough republicans in to get to 60, so that fillibusters won't be an issue - and then use that majority in both houses to ram in a bunch of very conservative surpreme court judges. That is a change that could take 20 - 30 years to undo.
