DeLay angered by 'Law & Order' mention

The controversy centers around Wednesday's episode in which a police officer investigating a murder of a federal judge suggested putting out an all points bulletin for "somebody in a Tom DeLay T-shirt." "This manipulation of my name and trivialization of the sensitive issue of judicial security represents a reckless disregard for the suffering initiated by recent tragedies and a great disservice to public discourse," DeLay wrote in a letter to NBC President Jeff Zucker. |
"But I do congratulate Congressman DeLay for switching the spotlight from his own problems to an episode of a TV show."

DeLay is an asshat. Oh, heaven forbid the Judicial Branch...which by Constitutional mandate is not answerable to the Legislative or Executive Branches...NOT ask permission before handing down rulings. This is the whole intent behind lifetime appointments for federal judges, so asshats in congress can't manipulate the courts. Of course, congress has found ample ability to kneecap the Judicial Branch in many ways, including mandatory minimum sentences, but that's another story entirely. DeLay is an asshat.
