Click off rates
 

Okay, I have not been doing all that much TGP stuff... but a little playing around is giving me some interesting numbers to play with.

What is the typical click off rate on a gallery? For, say 10k views, how many sponsor click offs are you expecting to see? 10? 100? 500? 1000?

Just wondering.

Oh yeah, it is reasonable traffic, not random spew autosubmitter gallery stuff.

crap, that is a hard one. Overall I'd say 500 to the sponsor would be normal. Getting 10% would be good. And of course it all depends on many many things. Thumb tgp, good description for the niche, ect. The key is if the gallery Turns On the surfer with the content the CTR goes up.

I shoot for 1:10, will take anything under 1:25. If the numbers get much higher than that I re-evaluate my content, gallery design, etc. These are submissions to niche specific or categorized TGP's. Submissions to general TGP's will usually have much higher ratios, but usually also have much more traffic.

Okay, I have been seeing clickout rates between 4-6%, which I thought wasn't terrible. I think I can still do better, but at least I am happy I am in a decent range... it's a learning experience!

It depends on how your sponsor counts hits. F.e. with CCBill tracking you should get ~10% CTR, with some 3rd page unique PPS Sponsor tracking I think you'd get 3% with the same gallery ;)
