I hired my (child's name withheld in case he reads this) to sheetrock my new Davidson Home. He did it all weekend and still has a couple of days left :) I am going to finish it today and pay him in full. :)

LOL...My husband has had a few of those kinds of projects also with our sons. Had to reply to your post it cracked me up.

He sounds like me - an artist, not a carpenter. Some projects require nurturing and time. Any fool can just slap some rock on the walls and mud it up. But it takes the keen eye to realize that you can always finish tomorrow.

Ya know, whenever I post to a thread and no one posts for many hours after that, I feel like I have personally killed the thread. You rotten bastards.

He is a really good cabnet maker. A less than great sheetrocker.

Well, he was supposed to finish tonight so I could paint tomorrow. But, his mother gave him the night off. So that puts me a day behind. Painting should really only take about an hour. I have a cool new sprayer for the job. It will be the orange and black stripes that slow me down a bit.

Still...Monday it will be complete on the inside. I have to wait until my wife is getting her hair done next Wednesday to paint the outside. She is really paranoid about painting with a sprayer. Her brother did it once too close to her car :)
