We just had a fire
 

Good thing I was away from the house because I know how my wife freaks out with things like this. Our big downstairs ac started burning at the control panel :) Quite large flames I am told. By the time she ran and got the fire extinguisher, it was out.

oh dear... glad to hear it wasn't worse. you got very lucky that it went out so easy, and extremely lucky someone was there or that didn't happen at night while you were sleeping . I'd say you'd better check those wires next time make sure everything's ok, but I'm sure you're so gonna do it w/o my advice.
