Upsets Knock Super Bowl Pool Down To 8!

Who would have thought....

Houston, without David Carr, would beat Carolina?

The lowly Saints would beat the defending Super Bowl Champs? (well, I guess you could say that Tampa beat themselves with the 6 turnovers)

In any event, the Super Bowl Pool is now down to the Elite 8:

(I guess last week was the Sweet 16 - LOL)

I see 3 or 4 games that should be easy to pick, but the problem is that a lot of the remaining 8 already picked those teams - D'OH!

Good Luck To All 8 Of You |priesthol

I had a list made up of picks for future weeks, but I think I may have to change it now. LOL

Who would have thought Carolina would lose? And what the HELL happened to St. Louis?!?!?

Good luck to everyone! This is where it really gets tough.

Yea I agree, St. Louis should have walked over San Fran without Garcia. Same as Carolina. Makes you wonder when you pick that a little luck is needed too.

This week I do see some picks and have also modified the list I made up when this all started. But I think I know who I'm taking already.

I must admit that the Texans beating Carolina with turnover Tony at QB surprised me, as did the 49ers demolishing the Rams. And how can the reigning AFC champions lose to Detroit?

Maybe we should all just use a deck of cards to make our picks!

The way this is going, we'll probably all pick the Chiefs on the week they decide to lose.

proud to be a member of the eilte 8

when i heard all those upsets i was actually hoping for more people to go down

I was going to take KC last week but I thought their time was due, same with the Colts, Houston, as proved yesterday, is alot better than plp think, so I went with the "safe" bet last week with San Fran.....

1 week off of the good pick.....|angry|

I wish you 8 all the luck in the world, I think thats all it's going to take.

and Ramster, I swear, if you win I will be out hunting for you sooner than later.|shot

(unless you promise to take me to Nawlings) |hello|

Torn - or anyone around here - if ya really want to go to NO we're only a 3 hr drive and definitely can show ya some of the better places for partying, whatever :) of course it would be a good idea to have some sort of WM gathering after the big party down there next year just to help with Mardi Gras recovery

You just never know what's going to happen... These past few weeks have been really weird in the NFL! |angry|

Good luck to the remaining 8! A 1 in 8 chance of going to the SuperBowl ain't bad. ;)

Torn, brotha...such hostilities. LMAO
I'll tell you what. If I win I'll get you a program guide. hehe

Good luck to the other 7 as luck is exactly what you need. Bad luck like Tampa's 6 turnovers can kill ya.

Thumbler 2003-11-04 01:00 AM

Ramster, SIX turnovers is hardly bad luck!
