Speaking of patents....

This one is pretty scarry too. Doesnt really mess up the adult side of the internet (save a few program installers etc) but, its nasty none the less.

take a look Here

Quote:

My wife just handed me an article from the Wednesday, October 22, 2003 issue of the Wall Street Journal about a tiny Austin, TX company called Bluecurrent that has been awarded patent No. 6,636,857 covering the Internet installation of any software or settings on new computers. The patent was granted by the USPTO on October 21, 2003. It will be interesting to see if it can be enforced. I think it's time for someone to file a patent on Earth, Fire, and Water. ;-)"
and A link to the patent

Hi Boogie :)

British Telecom claimed they owned the patent to hyperlinks. The patent was filed in 1976 and granted in 1989.

But nothing ever came of it.

I hereby claim that I own the patent to patents.

For your convenience I accept PayPay.

I welcome in the Patent overloads on the new era.

Until Microsoft or someone as big gets tired of this and gets their congressmen they own to re-write the patent laws we will continue to be stuck with this shit....|knockout| |pcsucks|

Id be willing to bet it wont be long before MS does something about it since the recent set of disputes about video streaming never took into account that MS already had patents for the same technology - and I doubt Bill will give up on that one

What fucking moron in the USPO approved this dribble from my ass..??
Been doing that very thing since forever..? WTF!!

I think I'd better go think of something to patent...this really is getting rediculous..and the "inventor" of the "web" is going to testify in congress about all this shit (I think I read that somewhere) and how he feels all these patents should be stopped..
