What do you people do when it's a shitty day
|angry| Ok well I woke up this morning after 3 hours of sleep. Got some personnal things done, that I have put off. Then I start to work on the site and about 1/2 way threw just felt like saying fuck this. Anyone ever feel this way? If so what do you do to combat the feeling of never making things work? Jugg.

I look at Greenguy's sponsor stats and then I get back to work :D
actually it's been hard for me to get motivated lately too.... I get away from the computer for awhile, forget about the internet, and chug some bud lights |
Yeah I have two beers and a bottle of jack left in the house. Plus I still have a bunch of smoking shit around the house. I guess its time to just burn up the brain tonight and wake up charged and motivated to rule the internet. Oh did I say that? I'm sorry I meant Rule the Galaxy.

That usually means you need a break. Take a day or two off, do something different, clean your head .. or fill it with smoke and booze :)
I usually just work on things just at a slower pace. Take a few hours away, come back work a little bit on something else etc.. but the best is just to say fuck it and take a full day or two off. Come back with a clear mind.. its a great feeling. Good luck man! |
What Terry said. You need a break! Forcing yourself to work is just going to stress you out, and make you even less motivated to work tomorrow. And, when I force myself, it ends up looking crappy and I just have to redo it anyway (don't know if that's everybody, or just me, but it makes sense). I fully support your plans for the evening :D

I just take off then :)

i will yell at my kids i will kic my hubby, i will kick the poor tree in my backyard i will slap the puter, then i will put the computer off and lay down on the sofa and watch telly:D and next day i try again

If you ever start to feel burned out, do something else. Once the burnout sets in, it is hard to get back to work.
I like to have a hobby as well. At my other house it was woodworking. I finally have all my tools here but not really setup. The past few weeks, I have been working on my new motorcycle shop. Have something else to do. |
I take a lot of drugs and pass out
|
What Rocco said. I just don't bother to do anything then. Surf and read the boards but no hard work.

Thank you all. Well I took all your advice. Well Kind of. I dont have a hobby. I used to but then it turned to computers so thats a catch 22. lol. Anyway Went downstairs cracked open the beer, later the jack. Smoked 2 pipes full of nice things. And I still sat at my computer. Only difference was I went out and killed terrorist in a FPS lol. It was nice but freaky. Anyone know what its like to be so fucked up that you know you are playing a game but when something unexpected happens in it. It scares the shit out of you. lol. I was walking down a dark hall after killing most of them. I knew there were only a couple left. Well I thought I checked the one room and figured the guy around the corner was done for. Well I hear a door open behind me and before I can figure out whats going on I almost fall off my chair when the bad guy drops a round in me lol. It was well worth it. Im ready to move forward today. Thank you alll.

lol....interesting methods here....for myself, my motivation is knowing if I keep at this I won't end up going back to the restaurant job I had for so long (and hate)....but there are those days I sit and stare at the stupid 30" monitor
...lol...ok, so I wish I had a 30" monitor....but back in reality here, I give myself a break and head off to starbucks for a grande extra hot hazelnut mocha to contemplate things and people watch from outside (rain or shine). You'd be amazed what that does to you. Then back to work I go :) In a nutshell...there will be bad days and good days. Just be determined and "love what you do" which is important. If you don't like it, then time to think of something else. |
