pic size
hi i am working on new site and need to know min full size pic size in pix i have 500/378 do u guys think ill have a problem

Most LL's require 600 on the long side min.
|
Hmmm, I thought it was still 500 on the long side, but 500 does look really small at today's resolutions.

I do allow them as long as one side is 500, but when I make sites/galleries, I tend to go 600x450 or 640x480
|
Don't forget to keep the file size within the acceptable range. Here is a tread on that http://www.greenguysboard.com/board/...&threadid=1446
|
thanks again
yea thought 500 is a little small ill have to resize them .
i am finding out that pics take all the time when doing a site i found a pic tool bar in front page that was hidden saves time from doing it all in photoshop 1 by 1 I look a lot of sites that pros built and there thumbs are bright clear sharp thats the quality i want |
Be careful using FrontPage as it is known for messing up sponsor codes.
|
thanks
i seen that somewhere i think volatar said to burn the disc because of that
after i get all done with a site i hit banners then check stats just to make sure so far it seems to be ok thanks |
Depending on how it affects your code you may still see hits from your banners, but sales do not get credited. It tends to mess up the "&" symbol.
|
maybe that why i havent had a sale
will check out html code i just talked to sponsor they have phone support and he uses frontpage and he told me to check it to thanks cleo and others for valuable info $$$$$ |
FP ads " amp; " following all instances of " &" so if you have a sponsor code with blahblah&yourID it will look like this "blahblah&yourID" just delete the garbage it's their abbreviation for ampersand which is what the symbol is called on your keyboard. :)
edit: the board doesn't show it lol |
It turns the & into the code for a non breaking space which is this without the extra spaces that I put in so that it would show up "& n b s p"
FrontPage does a bunch of other not so good stuff as well. Yeah burning your FrontPage disc was good advice. Lots of good WYSIWYG editors out there, FrontPage is not one of them. |
I love |shake| my FP. But then I've been using it since MS first offered it and I know tons of things to look for and avoid. :D
|
hi cleo and surfn
i been looking at my sponsor codes and i think they are ok what do u think? till i learn what i can take out manually or with software i dont want to mess up anything take a look http://www.toollovingslut.com view the source i compared it with what they give you and i dont see anything added to sponsor code & ps i have noticed frontpage adds webbot bullshit that kind of stuff wont affect sales ? wont be able to sleep tonight if frontpape fucked up any sales |
no garbage in you sponsor code.
Tons of garbage from using the spacer bar. It creates the "& n b s p" that Cleo referred to. |
Plateman: if you have photoshop, why would you do them one by one?? Look up actions and batching.
|
Your codes are fine, but that doesn't mean they will be fine next time you edit the page.
I'm surprised that you page even displays and works with code like this. " ![]() " :( |
thanks for looking cleo i had a problem at first with that lol
http://www.nastylovingslut.com pics files will you list when i put recipes on it |

Basically I use a combo of FP and notepad. Like I said there's a lot of things I don't do because they cause problems that I had to learn along the way. |
