Mars
Mars is the closest it has been to Earth in a long time.
http://www.itv.com/news/547189.html Gonna get my telescope out tonight |rasta
Place smells a little strange doesnt it?
Just kidding, if you watched David Letterman last night he was funny, all he kept talking about was Mars. Good times. |
We've been looking at it every night for the last few weeks - today is the day - I wonder if the Martians will be watching us tonight :D

Mars wow I am gonna be out for sure tonight. I gotta hang a long wire out the window and review from the lawn LOL
|
I guess it's better then looking at Uranus with a telescope....
(Ba dum ching.) 60,000 years. Damn that's a long fucking time. Perhaps they'll thaw my frozen head out for the next one. |shocking
I'll be out to nite too
But I'll be getting drunk |drunk| at the final preseason game of the AFC East predicted first place finishers NE Patriots |bananna
Mars has been bright and clear up here for more than a month too. However they claim you should be able to see surface features with a small telescope... but I think that should be a "not-so-small" telelscope. I got a small telescope... and lets just say I can't see squat! |pissed|
Good thing I have all my old astronomy books from universite... they got some good pictures with surface features :) 60000 years... thaaaats nothing :D |
#*&!&#@^#@!!!
Go figure, we get 350 days (avg) of clear skys per year so on the night of witnessing something the *truly* a once in a lifetime event we get hammered with a sandstorm/monsoon. |angry| I guess I'll just have to witness the "after party" tonight... |
All I have to say is the last time I saw Mars this close to Earth, man were times different. let's just say I didnt have a computer to talk with people about it, thats for sure.
|
I was out there in the garden last night with a small telescope and I could make out the dark surface features ok. :)
As I write this my wife is shouting at me for leaving the telescope in the middle of the kitchen................. |
How small was that small telescope urb? Is it a refractor or a reflector telescope? (ie. does it has lenses or mirrors?)
|
It's a 120mm refractor, but I live in a rural area with not much light pollution.
Perhaps looking at huge boobs all day has affected your eyesight a little? ;) |

It's been raining here every day so the sky is all clouds, but even if it wasn't it is so humid this time of year here that you can't even see the sky. Yesterday I felt like I needed scuba gear just to walk out my front door. |banghead|

It is very likely that my vision has been screwed up after looking at soooo many big tits. Especially my perception of "big" seems to be somewhat different from most other people :D
