Considering Asking The FSC To Remove Me From The Members List

Made You Look :)

Seriously though, maybe it's just me, but I don't think so. This whole situation has got me feeling like I'm in the twilight zone at this point. I joined the FSC to help put some cash towards the fight, not to get my name on what will may well become a hit list somewhere down the road. One thing I don't trust the government to do is keep a secret.

I'm as compliant as one can be with this ridiculousness, even though it was a total fucking nightmare, and I believe that 2257 as it stands will go down in flames...but then I read about the new DOD pre-draft database, about the Supreme Court handing down a decision that allows a city to throw you out of your house and pay you whatever they feel like paying you so some asshat developer can build a shopping mall, and I wonder about that too. "Economically depressed area" my ass. The whole fucking country is an economically depressed area...except for Beverly Hills, which is doing better than ever....thanks GWB.

At the very least the signal has been clearly sent to the DOJ that the adult industry will not stand together, and that's just bad for business...the FSC has protected their members but didn't go for the throat, and that will reflect on all of us, members or not.

So, I'm considering telling them to convert my "membership dues" to a "contribution" and remove me from the list of members. Anyone else having the same thoughts? Or maybe I'll just bask in what's probably a false sense of security.

Then again, I might just be out here in left field again...

All I know is I've been dragging my heels for way too long to join the ACLU. Today's FSC circus stunt pushed me over the edge. So congrats ACLU you just got two new card carrying members. And fuck you very much FSC, you'll never see a dime from me.

Honestly do you want to be on any government list? No matter how you cut it instead of going for the jugular they worked with the DOJ. Sorry, but if the FSC wasn't involved the ACLU would have been and the ACLU would have made the DOJ their bitches instead of meeting over brunch to hammer out some half-assed deal.

Can someone post the link to the ACLU signup form?

I agree, the FSC will never get a dime out of me either. I'm not happy with the way this played out.

Thanks for the ACLU link. :)

Wow, so you all think that a sealed list that the DOJ will never see is somehow going to lead to them inspecting your compliant records? Hmm.. I have to say I'm baffled :)

It's how the system works, no biggy to be a member. It simply makes you a co-plaintiff.

The people who should be worried are the actual, factual purveyors of undocumented and illegal images that would *already* be on a "hit list". If one of them is queued up for inspection, the DOJ will tell the court appointed special master, they'll see if that person is on the list, and the DOJ will simply wait until after sept. 7th unless they get a warrant anyway.

I think this is a large over-reaction personally, thats all.

Cause no one ever gets THEIR list.

Suckers, I've been down with the ACLU since college. And I don't even remember what we were fighting for back then. By back then I mean five years ago. Which means I don't have much of a memory.
