Was there a Google Update Recently?

Hey,

Just been checking my web stats. My traffic seems to have increase four-fold from a Google-like direction.

Was there an update late in June, or has my site perhaps come out of the dreaded sandbox?

I'm happy anyways!

google is updating constantly but there was nothing serious about recent updates but i seen some sites moved out from non existing "SandBox" :)

I have top listings for one of my blogs on Yahoo but none at Google. Then today I checked my stats and I'm starting to get hits from Google Canada?? I'm in Belgium and my host is in the US?
Google's mysterious ways :)

You're telling me. I get Google traffic from everywhere but the US. :)

you don't have to be in canada to get canadian traffic i get traffic even from google france and i even dont like french people :)
but it may have something to do with who you linked with, if many canadian sites/webmasters link to your you can get a good listing in google canada and same for other countries ;)

LMAO Leon

Google is my nemisis im sorry to say :( I have had some awesome results on MSN and Yahoo but nothing much on Google, probably because ive used some dodgy link networks in the past.

In regards to Search engine updates, the big boys dont seem to be dancing like the used to, they seem to have a steady groove going, meaning you can see your results change at any time. Note that you rank will move minimally when other sites are being re-ranked (i.e up or down a few) but could move alot when your page/site is re-ranked. Well, this is how it seems, i would be interested to know otherwise?

Leon 2005-07-10 11:17 AM

well i see both types of dancing some sites move up and down slowly some jump ahead at some major keywords it's all depend on your SEO :)

Just noticed a nice #1(of 4.5mil) listing for a keyword combo.

Unfortunately, the page doesn't exactly match the search. Oh well, traffic is traffic. Will have to see if I can sneak in some relavent links without screwing the listing.

good luck tickler ;)
