What size do you like for full size pics these days?

Full size pics where? I'd guess you're asking about member area galleries, but only because I know you have your own pay site. On this board you could just as easily be asking about TGP or Free Site galleries.

at least 500 on one side

My minimum is 500 on the long side, most I'm seeing lately while reviewing are more on the order of 550 or 600

800 by 600 / 600 by 800 is good for tgp / free sites.

Any more and you give too much to the surfer and sacrifice too much bw. Any less and you will likely get declined by the better sites upon submission.

Depends...if she's an ugly whore with an 80's hair style, 500 is fine. If she's attractive, up to 800 is super.

I'm staying just below that with something between 750 -768 pixels on the long side - and therefore compress a little less - this seems to work just fine for postings.

I normally use 600 on the long side.

I agree, 600 or even 650 for some is a good size :)

Danielle, If you are asking for the inside of your paysite, I personally add all New Pictures 1,000 or higher depending on the gallery, But that is just me...

I agree with Heather, based on what I'm seeing in the member area of the sites I have access to, and the sizes of the images other amateur sponsors are now providing for affiliate promo content it's going to be tough to compete and retain members without those higher resolution images in the member area. 800x600 might be adequate IF the detail is exceptional.

So far it seems the majority like 600 on the long side.

I started giving members a choice of sizes. When they start up a picture viewer they can toggle between 640x480, 800x600 and 1024x768

My members seem to love it. I'm also thinking about going up even larger and give them a zoom pan tilt feature.

I prefer 600 on the long side.

My TGP images are 600 x 400, but I've had a few affiliates ask for larger ones.

That is actually a good idea, But seems like alot more to do and space used? Or is there a secret to this? LOL

For TGPs/Freesites, I keep my long side no smaller than 700, I feel that is a good quality size anything smaller seems well small to me, but I make my thumbs large enough so the surfer knows wether or not they want to look at the pic, saves the bandwith on TGPs and free sites, I learned my thumbs sizing from DangerDave, He has taught me so much! |bow|

For TGP galleries, I make my longest side 800 if possible. If sponsor gives lower quality pics then i work my way down, 750, 700, 650. I hate going under 600 but sometimes it happens if the sponsor gives screencaps. For members area I prefer to use 1024 and 800 so the member has a choice.
