Is there a type of purchased traffic that's good for blogs?
 

I've got a text based blog with some porn links so I don't want just porn surfers. Is there any type of purchased traffic that would be good? I'm averaging about 20 uniques a day which isn't going to get me a very good page rank. :)

getting text links on other blogs is a good way to start. it can be very cheap but time consuming buying lots of small ads.

there is also the option of many ad networks that help you find places to advertise. there is one out there that comes to mind but it isnt very popular amongst viewers of this board since they've supported questional sites with questional tactics in the past.

alternatively any text based ads on a text based site is going to help. :)

I've bought traffic before, it never really converted but I think I gained a few bookmarkers from it. I've built my blogs up through exchanging links and traffic trades.

I get about 1,500 uniques a day to each of my blogs.

I've exchanged a few links from info. I got on the boards, but I only get a few hits back. How do you exchange links? Put a link on your blog and then let the blog you'd like to link to know?

Dont buy traffic, blog traffic can be a breeze to get, and there's a few tricks, my friend is teaching me and well, its a learning curve as anything else, but be sure you are using the rss and pinging options to get your blurt out you been updated and who knows what fans you will pick up... also there are neat little puzzles, trivia, and all that cute stuff that can get posted on hundreds of forums and soon you will be bringing in 500,000 hits a day

Link dumps can also help get some quick traffic. You wont get tons and the quality does'nt seem to be the best, but you might get some readers out of the deal, not to mention so back links. Or some traffic to push towards trades.
