Happy Day After Birthday Tuesday :)

Good Morning
While yesterday was great, I have to admit, I am bound up like a plugged toilet. You knew I had to share that...didn't you?

I should be around most of the day but my wife has a doctor's appointment this morning.

Fonz 2005-08-02 07:11 AM

Morning all,

Good to hear you had a nice Birthday yesterday Jim.

I went to bed really early yesterday, like 9.15 pm or so. Watched "The Ninth Gate" on my bedroom TV and read some Stephen King. I should do that more often, but then again... who am I kidding :)

Rocco 2005-08-02 07:38 AM

good morning all, got a bunch of movies to be edited today - hope I'll be able to make them "web-ready"

Good Morning!

Since being diagnosed with C&C and IBS, I have done all I can to improve my health. No more junk food, no meat, no dairy, no alcohol, no coffee and a host of other dietary restrictions. A word of advice to ALL of you to pass on to anyone you know: if you get an ulcer, treat it right away and don't let it fester. You could end up like me with two more conditions.

Anyhow, I am feeling better and I've been sleeping better as well.

Have a good day and may your cha-chings be sweeter than honey.

Good Morning Folks |waves|

I'm running way behind today. I just spent 4 hours fixing a script on one of my TGP's |angry|

As soon as I get caught up with my daily online chores I have some fires to put out in the offline world. |dizzy|

Happy Birthday Javes |waves|

More stats for me today - I shitcanned RevStats & decided to do everything by hand - this is a HUGE pain in the ass, but the totals are probably the most accurate they've ever been (and thus look like shit - LOL)

Cleo 2005-08-02 09:00 AM

Good Morning. :)

Jim's been playing with butt plugs again…

Just a day of doing the gym thing, slaving at the computer, and not much else for me.

Yesterday I signed up for beginners Spanish classes that start next week and also ordered Rosetta Stone Spanish Level 1. You would think that being part Spanish and having a father that spoke Spanish that I would know it but I don't. On the school form where they ask why you are enrolling in classes I marked so that I could understand the local language. :D

Hmmm…

Wow hell must have froze over… Apple has finally released a mouse with more then one button. In fact it has four buttons, The Mighty Mouse. I'll have to play with one once they show up at the local CompUSA by me. Being able to scroll sideways seems like something that I would want. The Apple mice do track better then any other mouse I've ever used just couldn't deal with only one button so I never used them.

mOrrI 2005-08-02 09:21 AM

Cute mouse...
:p

Mornin' all :)

Glad to hear you survived the day, Jim.
I'll have to remember to use that "bound up like a plugged toilet" line on one of our free sites... it has a nice ring to it. ::grin::

Up around 5 am this morning. Damn mosquitos got in somehow and started a feast. Had to get up to get the OFF! so I put the coffee on and started reviewing last month's stats here. Finding more affiliates linking direct to the galleries in our hosted free sites (which we have no problem with), so I'm pushing to get all the free hosted galleries stuff ready this week.

A good day to all!

Simon

Good Morning.

Got a few things to do this morning before hitting the bank and running a few errands. Today I start my trek to Miami, mid afternoon I leave.

wildgirl 2005-08-02 09:44 AM

Don't feel bad Cleo, there are others out there (like me, half Puerto Rican, dad's 100% and can speak it, I took 5 years of spanish in High School, and still can't speak it. . .) who feel your pain. I should take another intro class and re learn everything I used to know. (I couldn't speak it well, but I could read and write it flawlessly.)

Good Morning!

I am also part Puerto Rican. Took Spanish back in high school but had no use for it at the time and none of my friends at the time spoke it so I never learned it. I told Luna that she gets to help me learn Spanish in return for me teaching her how to write html. Not that Spanish is her native language, she is Brazilian, but she does speak Spanish fluently.

Good Morning! Off to a day of trying to stay cool. My daughter quit smoking a week ago, I thrilled that she did! But you talk about being in a foul mood...yikes. I know it's part of the process but damn it's not easy on the other people in the house..... |bow|

Jim sorry about your problem hope you slove that fast.... :D

Have a great day all!

Useless 2005-08-02 12:11 PM

Shit, I forgot to say good morning. So, good morning.

When I was in Texas I fell in lust with a little Puerto Rican college freshman who was home on winter break. Her mother only ever spoke two words in English to me - Hi Mark - and I'm not so sure that you can consider saying one's name as speaking their language. Elsie, that little whore, would carry on long conversations with her mother in front of me, she speaking English while her mother ranted in Spanish. Typically, it doesn't make me uncomfortable to have people speaking a foreign tongue in front of me, but something about her mother's tone was very unnerving. The entire whopping two weeks that I 'dated' Elsie, I had wished that I knew only one sentence in Spanish. "Your daughter has a hairy cunt."

Have you looked into statsremote? I think they are pretty good.

Greenguy 2005-08-02 02:05 PM

Does StatsRemote break down the sponsors by site? Have options for only looking at 1st page hits? Historical stats for at least a year?

It took me a good 6 hours yesterday but I now know that this was is much more accurate.

I didn't realize how in depth you needed your info - sorry about that. |dizzy|

I feel you there. I took 5 years of french (and hated every second of it) and I can still count to 10........ maybe... just don't test me on it. |dizzy|

On the most part, we begin language training far too late and don't put enough emphasis on it. Foreign language classes should begin at the elementary level, not high school, while a chi|d's mind is the most elastic and is language learning mode. Language study should also be focused on conversational skills, not just the ability to read and spell, which is so often the case. My wife took both French and Spanish in high shoo|, as well as college. From what I can tell, she may not be able to order a glass of water. I took 2 years of German in high school (passed with a D+ :D ) and then studied it for 9 months straight, 8 hours a day. I can speak enough to get myself arrested at the very least.
