Heads up for HostHead users
 

Just a heads up for those that host with HostHead, you might want to check all your sites. It looks like all of my sites were restored from 7-10 day old backups, including db's.. lost quite a bit of work. I hope you had backups, I didnt! ( of my db's anyway ) :(

I also haven't recieved an email or anything reguarding the situation yet which doesn't exactly instill confidence either. sigh..

Just got an email about it.. hopefully they can restore my db. Sounds like they're on the ball.

For every host that gets suggested, I bet you can find dozens of people who think they're shit. Finding a good host is a gamble. One guy will love the host, the next guy will say it's the worst hosting experience of their life. Heck, I even hated having me as my host.

And I'm sure his current host will get things sorted out for him. Shit happens. Servers get fucked no matter where they're hosted. Some just get fucked sooner and more often. :D

Unfortunately this is all very true, I've always tried to go with hosts who I see recommended via REAL word of mouth with very little to zero negative comments/rants, but have had nothing but bad luck.. My sites are completely down at the moment.. theyre probably swapping out hardware, which would be the second time in a little over two weeks they've had to do so. I really don't have a lot to bitch about as smalltime as I am but I sure as fuck don't want to get blacklisted.

I'm not affiliated with Mojo Host and you can plainly see in the URL that there is no affiliate code. This guy is getting fucked by his hosting company and he needs a better one.

There's a difference between span and a recommendation. He needs recommendations if he's going to stay in business.

Hang in there b1ng0...hope they get you resolved soon! Or, if need be...that you find a new host to house your empire :)

I'm on Hosthead and I don't think I've lost anything at all so I guess this is only for the people on virtual hosting?

Had a pretty ugly hardware issue on one of our virtual servers.

Raid controller failed, and caused some nasty corruption. After a lengthy battle the machine was fixed.

All your data should now be restored to the time the machine went down for repair.
