sponsor question

|waves| How long do you all give a sponsor time to respond when you really are tyring hard to get a hold of them?
It has to do with getting paid so it's pretty important in my book. Would appreciate any opinions! Thanks!

If you've been trying over the last few days, remember that many sponsors had most of their staff in Florida at Internext. Even though we had Internet access in all the rooms, time for sorting through email is pretty limited.

That said, I usually expect a reply to such an inquiry by the end of the second business day. That's when I start moving up the food chain.

Excellent advice |thumb

Given the Internext issue, I'd probably give them til late Wednesday or maybe even Thursday morning before hunting down the big dog :D

I'd say 24 to 48 hours, with email, IM and phone you should be able to track someone down quickly these days.

When companies put a higher priority on marketing and having fun then the people that put money in thier pockets they're making a pretty clear statement. Don't you think?

Ideally, they would still have someone checking for priority correspondence. But there are only so many hours in a day, and most sponsors only have a handful of staff. Taking them along to Internext is a bit of a reward for their hard work. As for the "marketing and having fun", much of that also includes people that are putting money in their pockets. As long as issues get handled promptly after Internext is over I'd have no problem continuing to promote the sponsor.

Thanks for the opinions. Never thought about the Internext and all and people getting behind. I have no problem with people taking a break and having fun. But it is a business and someone should be around I think but what the hell do I know I've never run a paysite.

I'm kinda getting somewhere, I was told to tell email this person and then told to email another person. I guess out of fairness to them with the busy weekend and all I'll wait till the end of the week. Before I really get pissed off, which is really hard to do to me as I'm a very go with the flow person.... |shocking|
