Magic photo-resizes-to-fit-browser script?

I've seen a few sites (never bookmarked them, though!) where the photo resizes to fit a user's browser size. How does a webmaster go about doing that? Where is that information stored, and how does it work? Is such a thing IE- or other browser- specific?

Any leads on this are appreciated!

You can use javascript

http://www.howtocreate.co.uk/tutoria...?tut=0&part=16

Tho one reference states you can only do this AFTER the tag, so you'd then need javascript to set the size of the picture. Resizing a picture this way doesn't always look the best.

Maybe someone else has a better solution for you?
