spam emails
 

Been getting a bunch lately from an email optin company (lol) that has my adreess in the 'from' field which makes it a bugger to block. Here's the properties, I can't work out how I'd be able to block them, any help appreciated :)

Ask your host about setting up reverse DNS. I *think* the lack of reverse DNS is what allows spammers to make emails appear to originate from your domain. But I may very well be wrong.

Tried that but apparently I'm set up correctly, not really too much they can do, so I guess I'll do what I've been doing so far and just block the new prefixes as they get thought of lol.
Sorry bout the wise ass comment, damn written word never comes out quite right. Well, not when I write them anyway :D

I use SpamBayes to collect all my spam e-mails. The program works amazingly well, and I think it will solve your problem, Jel. You teach it what you consider spam, and based on the context of the e-mail it will start to recognize what is spam and what isn't spam for you.

You can put anything you want in the header of a mail... they are just inserting it when they send it.

It's called a "joe job". Live it with. I have enough domains that I see it about weekly.
