Do you Accept?

Hi :)

Q to LL-owners:

i started getting more and more free sites submissions with not linked thumbs and a sponsor link below them as an Ad.. do you accept such free sites?

ponyman 2005-08-24 03:20 AM

Some LL owners may be concerned that unlinked thumbs will be linked later to a sponsor, thus cheating the rules of the LL.

In a word...NO

thanks :)

I've been getting a few of those lately and have the same concerns as Ponyman, but if everything else looks OK I have accepted them. I guess they'll have to prove themselves as cheaters before I react.

i started thinking maybe it's a new way of making Ads and I should follow when building my own fs?

Yeah, I've started doing that in my own freesites, epecially if the thumbs within the ad look far more exciting than your real thumbs :)

I also do accept them in submitted freesites.

I've never been keen on unlinked thumbs, but it's not a rejection reason per se.

If the rest of the site and content are exceptional / unique then I'll list them, otherwise it's "hmmmm - let's have a close look at the rest of the site".

I've also been getting a few free site submissions with unlinked thumbs and a text link underneath. I don't mind as long as they don't break any rules. Like Lemmy said, if they prove themselves to be cheaters, I'll just ban them.

I don't think I'll go this route when making my own free sites though.

I was always told that was bad practice :(
