Downtime m3server
 

m3server is up, but they're my host and my sites (boogie-blog, cfporn, bitesized) have been down for the past 4 hours or so.

I was hoping this was going to get resolved quickly but it doesnt look like it.

I just wanted everyone to know who might be checking links or running bots to please be leniant, I dont know what the problem is, and I havent been able to get a response from anyone at tech support for the past 4 hours.

I dont even know where they're located for all I know its in hurricane country.

so trying to be patient and hoping for the best.

Tuscaloosa, Alabama if I recall. Close enough to the path to probably be affected.

We apologize for the inconvenience of this outage. Due to power
problems related to hurricane Katrina, a small percentage of our network
was down for an extended period. Your server was on this network
segment. We had to rewire the network and power distribution for the
effected servers, which was a time consuming process.

... except that my M3 server stuff is up... :(

One of the main reasons that I moved to the host that I'm at now.

Seriously, maybe we could use a thread lising the main hosting companies which are located in the Katrina-hit areas. Might be useful to see why certain submitters have their sites down right now. ?
