Whats the deal with using recips like these:

Can I just make recips like that or do I have to get approval from the LL owners?
They are so much cleaner and take up alot less space.

I'm just a small guy in a very big sea here, but I know I don't have a problem with it. I doubt 90% + or - 5% would either.

You'd think the link diversity (not having everyone using the same old text) would only help with the search engines as well....?

It's just as Allfetish has said, most link lists won't mind as long as you do a good job. Don't make the fonts too small or otherwise illegible. I think MML said that Emerald (Smutgremlins) prefers he to see her own, but she seems to be fine with it as long as the site is good. We all like to see our branding out there, but again (as Allfetish stated) it's good for SE reasons to have inlinks that have some variation.

those are ok but when you look at them in that format they all blend together IMO..

that's what I thought...I don't mind them, they look very nice, but they are very easy to skip over.

sometimes the recips aren't that pretty, but is porn supposed to be?? :D

Since I use a text recip I prefer to see all my text. Nothing will get you declined quicker than messing up a recip (including mine).

Since most of my friend's are of the same mind as I am that is a wasted submit.

As long as all the text I use is there, and as long as the title tags are intact (I hate seeing my recip changed into a text recip like those but with the title tags omitted) I don't have a problem at all. The amount of click thru's from recips is pretty low anyway, the main thing is the backlink. The branding is nice too, but with most webmasters of the cut & paste for quickness variety, there's always enough people to keep that going imo.

Some LL owners trying to fit 3 thousands keywords and 3-4 backlinks on their recips it's ok for big guys but doesn't work for the rest. It worthless to put 60 outgoing recip links on free sites and get 3 visitors and link from PR1 page back. Using custom resips the way to decrease amount of outgoing links and it looks pretty good also...
