Pings
 

I'm new to blogs, and I suppose this ping thing is that some script let's know some service that I've updated my blog.So that service lists my post.
I suppose that it's better to have more of this services to ping.When I login to wordpress I just have http://rpc.pingomatic.com/
And is pinggoat.com like pingomatic?How do I add it to the list?
Does anyone have a list of services like these so I can add them to my list?

In "options" "writing" add it on the next line so it looks like this

Now if pingomatic has some blog lister (let's call it like this) that's already in pinggoat database I suppose I'll ping it twice..Will I have any problems with this?

Think it depends on the service, I think some will ban? Others will say your pinging to fast.

If they ban you for "overpinging" that's a real nightmare. Means you have to go find out who pings who.

I assume when you ping they would check the referrer and see if the ping came from the same place twice. If not they should accept that it's due to being pinged by several pinging services.

I don't know this for a fact, I'm just guessing here.

than how much ping services you guys use on your blog?
