Established webmaster looking for some advice
Heya guys,
I have been an adult webmaster/photographer/videographer and basically jack of all trades for some time now. The name/url of my main site is http://www.pantyhoseaddict.com and I am seeking advice regarding this site. A little backgournd on the site is; It includes all original, all exclusive content. We have over 120K in photos and probably a couple hundred videos. We would most likely be considered semi-pro-ish. We have high quality images and video and we update 5 days per week. Our videos are full length, normally 7 to 15 minutes. Please feel free to take a look at the site as it may better help you to help me, we have been running it since '99 and currently gross around a half a mil a year, which sounds decent for a small operation but with our rate of updating, overhead does eat a lot of that up. It is only my wife and I that currently run all operations. My first issue is this; we seem over the past year and a half hit a bit of a growth stoppage and even have been backtracking. I am looking to start heavily promoting our affiliate program. Currently our affiliate program is rather small because I have never pushed nor supported it much. We have relied on our own free/tgp/pic post/general traffic sites and g/f pages for traffic. One of my free sites is even in the top 4 listings on google when you search by the key word "pantyhose" So here are some questions; What are affiliates looking for in a site? What is expected of me to support the affiliates? Any other info on affiliates would be very helpful. Second issue is tours/free area. I have toiled for years with different tours/free areas and the one I currently have seems to be the most consistant of all I have tried. Anyone have any advice on my tour and what I may need to change to improve it? Third issue has to do with billing companies. I currently use CCBILL. I had iBill before the snafu also. When I had both processors it seemed to be a good deal because one would normally pick up sales the other one would not. For example it seemed iBill always was better for overseas sales than CCBILL was. The greater part of my iBill base was overseas. I have thought about adding a second or even third processor and I an curious as to which ones you guys recommend. CCBILL just seems to have some issues as of late with their processing. I have gotten more declines lately than ever. Any other hints and tips would be very appreciated. I would like to make my site as affiliate friendly as possible and hopefully generate more income for anyone involved. Thanks for your time and thanks in advance for any help. Well the site looks good. Traffic leaks such as email collectors or a DVD store tend to annoy affiliates as it is a way for them to not make sales.
Adding more than one proccessor can do nothing more than add more sales so that is smart. Then you'd need a cascading billing system like mpa3 or Nats. Getting affiliates? The best way is offer hosted galleries and free sites and as affiliates see decent results they will promote you more. |

I always go straight to the promo content area and see if there is decent (and ample amounts of) stuff for me to use to build galleries with. If not, the sponsor generally gets lost in the shuffle of my sponsor list pretty quickly.
