Do We Still Get Confirmation Email From GG
 

Hi

Two days ago i have submited my sites to GG but i don't recieve any confirmation email that my sites will be review within 24-48hours except showing the confirmation on the GG submitted page

I used to receive those email after submiting my site or are they no longer emailing us?

If your submit goes through I "think" he sends you here to the board.

As far as I know they are still going out :)

Like Surfn said, if it does go thru, you get sent to a page here on GG&Jim, but post your URL & let me see if it's in the admin.

I have the same question about these sites, the first 2 are around a week and haven't heard yea or nay. Assumed maybe a backlog but since it came up I'll ask.

During a week or so I recive a "Zero Sized Reply" result after hitting "Submit link" button on Link O'Rama`s submit page. Confirmation e-mail also not comes.
This is some sort of ban or what?

rscott - there are no "yea or nay" emails, just the one that's spit out when you submit.

MaxOn - I have no idea what a "Zero Sized Reply" is, but if you're not getting the email, I'm not getting the submit.

I just submitted one hell of an ugly site and got the email...

martaysays - your pages scrool at 800 wide - try making all the tables a max of 750 & you should be ok.

thanks man, thats what someone else just said to me in another thread.

Now that two people sayin it after I askd theres no way I can dispute the fact, but I wouldn't have thought this would have been a problem considering all my tables are 776 wide and in my browsers(both ff and IE) they dont seem to scroll sideways.

All right, so based on that response I have to assume that they were rejected and I guess this is as good a place as any to ask for a critique as to what I need to do to correct them.

We'd have stopped reviewing as soon as we saw the 800 rule violation.

I peeked at the 1st one - why are the pics watermarked with a site that's not promoted from the Free Site?

This was my first attempt at a freesite.

The site is advertised on the index and main html's, the other "promo's" are from the same sponser. Just thought about trying a little "cross" promo from within the ad. (if the surfers bored looking at facials, give him an option), but looking back I see that I don't have enough promo for the "promoted" site in the galleries.

One of the things that sets off a warning flag when reviewing sites is a sponsor watermark on the pics that's not advertised on the gallery pages. Problem is that we don't really have time to go to the sponsor & verify that the other sites are theirs.

GG, so no rejection emails then? I submitted mine about four days ago (or five, things are a bit hazy right now :)) and except for the confirm page did not get anything... thought maybe it was coz i did something wrong...

rscott - yes, fix it up & resubmit :)

CalModels - I don't think I've ever sent out accepted or rejected emails :D The problem with yours is the size of the pics - some are only 250 wide which is way too small.

Thanks GG... I've been doing 640 long by whatever the crop size is on the wide because on the main site the pics open within a html page and having them larger than that makes the page scroll :(

Whats acceptable in terms of pic size then? Considering I have all the original pics cuz I took em myself resizing them just for you is no biggie :)

Greenguy - hmm, strange things are happend. I try submit directly and through proxy - after press a Submit button IE waits approximately a minute and I recive a "Page cannot be displayed" error or "Zero Sized Reply" - if under proxy, in url field of IE I see http://www.link-o-rama.com/cgi-bin/l...in1/submit.cgi

Whether you know, what can lead to such result?

CalModels - shoot for a 4:3 ratio - 500x375 should be the minumim of the pics.

MaxOn - ok - I know what it is now. I have no solution, as Richard has to figure out what's causing it.

Greenguy - ok. Don`t know who is Richard, but I hope he will find the solution of a problem :)
