Problem getting listed

Could anyone take a look at thumbs2sex.com
and see if you can give me some hints why I cant get the site listed in Google.

It's been around for 3 months now, and still no listing. Other sites made with the excact same design was listed after only a week or two online...

Thanks

You might start by placing all the meta tags above the head :)

I dont get that

Do you mean that I should place the meta-tags above ???

Overarm,

Your HTML is full or errors. Sometimes that can keep Google from indexing it.

Fix it up with http://validator.w3.org/

Keep them where they are :) theyre fine.
Start by adding in a real title that has a descriptive title of your site.
Somewhere on that page youve got to get some text - Google loves it and it really needs something to index - if the page is all links there isnt much to work with for the robot.

Sorry my bad. I was rushing around earlier today. The tags are fine where they are at :)

What about the alt tags for the images - can google index by them?
Can textlinks do the job, or do I have to write an entire story?

alt tags will count towards some little part of their ranking - for the pictures - but for the page overall you need some good text - it doesnt have to be a story - just a few sentences somewhere on the page (actually a few different places is even better) - just saying how hot your site is and how often you update those free porn pictures LOL - just sprinkle it with the keywords you want

I wonder if my domain could be blacklisted or something on google? I know that it's been registered before I got it, so maybe the former owner wasn't as honest as i am |swordfigh

Damn it's begginning to be an obsession for me to get that damned domain listed.

If I search for thumbs2sex I get about 250 sites that contain that - but no direct links to the site

Another site I launched this weekend is already indexed - Arghhhhhhh |dizzy|

Linkster 2005-10-04 12:53 PM

Work on getting incoming links - from trades and submitters - although Google shows no links to your site and Yahoo shows about 54 - but most that Yahoo has are your own stuff. Its real hard for Google to find sites without links from other peoples sites unless you have a super whammy-dammy site that gets spidered by Google every day to link from.

Make sure that any trades are hard links - not traffic trades as these usually go through a script and the url doesnt get parsed very well by Google - again unless they are spidering heavily :)

overarm 2005-10-11 10:52 AM

I gave up...

Now have I been sitting here waiting for 4 months, without getting listed, so I've moved the entire site...

Damned that sucks... |shocking|

Linkster 2005-10-11 11:39 AM

overarm - you are listed - you just arent ranking because you dont have many links coming in - Google is spidering you almost every day - the last time was on the 10th - but you dont have any text on the page to rank with and links coming in make the biggest difference for ranking.
Also - dont count traffic trades as links coming in as most of them use a script url which is not going to be followed by Google. You need a bunch of hard links to start ranking - also what I said before about text on the page and a title that doesnt just try to compete for those words - as right now youre not going to rank very well for those words - way too much old competition when you dont have any people linking to you.

I sure wouldnt move the site to another domain as Google does definitely have this one indexed and thats just going to delay you getting rankings for another 6 months. 4 months is not enough time to rank without links

Hmm... what about all the submitted galleries out there pointing to my domain, but when i write thumbs2sex.com in google, it says:
Quote:

Sorry, no information is available for the URL thumbs2sex.com
Why wont they show anything at all?

How do you know im listed?

Another website I launched sunday already has been indexed by google...

Im not talking PR here, im talking been seen at all

Thats really weird - Id say that some of the datacenters have you listed - others dont - yesterday I saw that you had 4 pages from that site listed in google - today I dont see any - so I would say that its in the flux stage

Well - Now its moved...

And I've seen googlebot in the logfiles for the first time... So I'm convinced it was the best thing to do...
**IRONY ON** Anyone want to buy a banned domain? **IRONY OFF**

Just got a nice mail from google telling me that their technical division would look into why the domain didnt get listed (must be the same as they are going to pull it off the blacklist)...

BTW, its a living hell reaching them on mail

Bunnyhop 2005-10-24 02:56 PM

You could always submit a sitemap to them of your site and then monitor the results via their automated system. It has provided me a number of times with reasons behind not getting indexed.

Hit me up on ICQ (1452266) if you want a walkthru of how to do this.
