On generator power and backup ADSL but I see my neighbor across the street has power. It went off in the middle of the night and the electric crews were out working and got it back on but then I woke up with it off again.

Looks like the storm has gone further south and not gotten that strong. I haven't even put up my shutters as we are just going to get nasty rain and some wind but nothing nearing hurricane winds.

Espresso thanks to emergency generator power is up.

Again, today is the busiest day of the month for me. So, I will be around all day but probably working and not on the board.

And, don't forget the radio show is back tonight. I will be sending out reminders.

The first episode of Lost (season 1, yeah we're a bit behind here :) ) really looked promising yesterday so I'll be watching more of that in the next weeks.

So, starting tomorrow I can start downloading audio broadcast archives again, happy happy joy joy :D

I can tell that today is going to be a good day… power is back on and generator has been put away. :)

Yes, and we're south. :( We're hoping that it doesn't get strong when the sun warms it up later. Eye should be closest to Key West around 2pm. Generator line ready. Shutters are up on the three sides of the house facing the oncoming winds. We'll sit out back on the upstairs screen porch once the power goes out and kills the cable and DSL systems. Hoping to make the radio show, but it might be on dialup or cell connection.

Good Tuesday morning! It's overcast here today, but every once in awhile, the sun peeks it's head through.

Got scared to death this morning, I went to get something out of the trunk of my car, and a huge spider popped out when I closed the trunk. . .

I let it chill there though, it's not his fault he accidentally hitched a ride with me this morning.

You can bet it won't bomb as badly as MML calling me during his show. I'm pretty soon everyone stopped listening and just amongst themselves the moment I picked up the phone. :(

Anyway, my newest neighbor, the one I can see from my office window, was arrested for attempted grand theft auto the other night. And the kid who burned his parent's house across the rode lives back home with them in the still unfinished house. They just moved back last week. I love Glens Falls.

Getting some gusty winds up here from the outer bands, but shouldn't be bad at all. Unless ol Rita hooks a hard right turn that is :D

This week i have SuperZoo (pet show) and Cleaning.. BORING..

the best and scariest trend i found a the Gaming show was that they are starting to install ATM's in the casinos that only give out Script.. so you either have to walk to the cage to cash out or you can just plop them into a machine. Also interesting was a slew of 'atm' validators for at home play. most of the online gaming companies i guess don't take debit cards but are gearing up for a whole new market of gamblers using their bank accounts to game with..

NOTE: before coming to Vegas for internext.. make sure you either take your money out at home and get travellers checks or be prepared to pay a high % on the take at the hotel or get a cab to the nearest non-gaming ATM.
