"Access to additional sites" as a sales point?
 

Wondering if any of you emphasize on your freesites/galleries that if the surfer joins to one site, he gets access to all the other ones.

If you tried it, did anything change?

Post any other thoughts on that :)

If the sponsor offers bonus sites, I'll sometimes mention that bonus in my sales pitch.

I've seen others do it much slicker though by making a few thumbs of some of the bonus sites and loading them somewhere close to their sales text. Note that the thumbs are not linked...that would put you way over your 3 links/page. Since I haven't used this technique, no idea how well it works. But, it seems like a good idea :)

I have tried it a on a couple galleries but haven't really noticed a change, I let the content do most of the talking and try to avoid a cheesy sales pitch. lol

If there's no way for the surfer to find out more about the bonus sites right there and then, I'm not sure how much weight they're going to carry.

Also, if the surfer's signed up to other networks before, chances are he'll assume the site you're selling has less than average amount of content compared to standalone sites, which is generally the case with network sites.

I tried the bonus sites approach and haven't seen much difference in sales :(

I would think on the free site itself it wouldn't matter much. But on the paysite tour I'm sure it makes a bit of a difference.

we offer that on our galleries and i am sure it is cathing the eye of the surfer and then they can read more about it on the tour site. A gallery is a preview what you find on the pay site so i do think it is an important point if it show on both sites. It could be the last push for the surfer to signup knowing that he is getting more for the same price.

I think it depends on the sites in the network and the original niche you're promoting. If you're promoting a teen or young babe site then showing a network that has Interacial, Gonzo, MILF and non-related reality then I don't think it helps. On the other hand if you show a network of similar sites then it should have more impact.

I don't. I let the surfer find that out and feel like they are getting a bonus and that I gave them a good deal :)

indeed, at the free site level i think your main objective is getting them interested in some content and sending them to the tour


then when they hit the 1st page of tour they should see some of what they are interested in

then when they hit the second page (which is where I put the sign up links with the prices) I seal the deal by showing them the other sites they get access too for free if they buy now

works well for me and I follow this rule on all my pay sites for use with my fhgs hosted free sites

I tend to disagree on whether or not "bonus sites" tag helps. However, I have a different approach to using the bonus access sites.
I usually allow my gallery/free site to focus on the theme and market the content. But instead of sending the surfer directly to the sponsor tour, I send him/her to my own tour that gives a nice placing to the additional bonuses with membership. Usually increases the conversions to 1:60-1.70 from 1:250 odd.
