link:search in google
Hi all,
When I use this in google link:www.mydomain.com/ I always get only very few links and they are all very old. How come? Are these the links google uses to determen how important your site is? Thanks |
Google doesn't show all your backlinks, just some. And it's not updated in real time, they update whenevr they feel like it.. so a link you got last week wouldnt be showing in there yet.
And yes, backlinks are a factor in determining how "important" your site is, but its amongst many other factors as well. |

Using yahoo - links:www.domain.com - is usually a better representation :)

Thanks Linkster,
This is a different story Now I see a lot of incoming links I don't know about. I get incoming links from linkfarms. http://www.linkamania.com/ http://www.lightspeed-university-cheerleaders.com/ www.gnet.snngr.net/g_013500_net.html I can't find my link but I don't know if I must be happy with this I don't see any of my regular trades I made though. |
troy - sorry bout that - I messed up - it should be:
link:http://www.domain.com - I forgot you have to use the http and the link not links :) |
Thats much better Linkster
This is good info, thanks again |
I don't think google has ever given the correct linkbacks, ever.
