Only frontpage get's indexed

Hi!

Both Gooigle and Yahoo have only indexed my frontpage (www.mrstiff.com).

There are even some pages indexed though, but they are from another site to which this domain pointed for a little while.

I do see Google comming back every two days, but it doesn't seem to get past my homepage.

What's up with that?

Welcome to the world of SEs and SEO. They will only crawl your entire site once a month. You could try to get some links from other sites to your other pages if you want them crawled faster.

Have you put up a site map to help the SE's out?

Mr. Stiff 2005-10-06 03:51 AM

AH, once a month.. That explains :)
Deeplinks are already present on some sites and I've just added a sitemap.

Thanks both!

Thats a load of crap - I have entire sites that are spidered everyday.

Mr Stiff - Google seems to have spidered yours quite a bit as they know about 68 pages from your site:

How many internal links does your site have. You cant expect it to be spidered deep if its not linked to.

And to the bonehead above who said it gets spidered once a month...LOL

Linkster 2005-10-10 06:21 AM

Please note above I said that Google already found all of your internal pages so its just a matter of waiting to rank now

I always put up at least one page of pics of just large breasted cum-splattered spider babes to lure in Google. It seems to be partial to shaved spiders, but they're hard to find.

That's sweet!

Mr. Stiff 2005-10-19 09:15 AM

Well, it's a week later and it seems Google has spidered around 5% of my site...
Come on you lazy bastard ;)

Linkster, it seems you're using a different google than me.. The Amsterdam one started showing those results just a couple of days ago!

Linkster 2005-10-19 02:28 PM

Mr Stiff - thats not surprising - Google has hundreds (if not thousands) of datacenters all over the world - and they usually update rather slow especially in the middle of the testing phase theyve been going through for the last few weeks. Remember that you will be given results based on your location as well (geo tracking) so if you want to really watch results for your sites change you could always surf on a proxy located elsewhere :) and check the datacenters by IP number instead of just using google dot com (an example - 66.102.7.147)
