Richards Realm

http://www.netpond.com/showthread.ph...71#post1052271

Can someone from RR please read that thread, thanks.

MrYum 2005-10-05 10:50 AM

No offense Kandah...

I've run into the same thing from time to time with Richard's reviewers...and yes, it's frustrating. Welcome to the world of adult |waves|

But, that thread is certainly not the best way to get a favorable response from Richard or anyone else |dizzy|

Greenguy 2005-10-05 10:59 AM

If they can't get your site to load or load at a reasonable speed, then they will decline it - this goes for EVERY sites that reviews, mine included.

Move on & submit to someone else.

SirMoby 2005-10-05 11:45 AM

Many people get listed very often at Richard's and many people like Richard and the people that do reviews there. Grow up and move on because youcould find yourself getting rejected at more places then just Richard's now.

kandah 2005-10-05 12:53 PM

The very same galleries can be submitted on another day and get accepted. I dont get it. The gals are on a dedicated 10mb connection, how can they be too slow?

You have to understand my frustration when paying to be able to submit when the reviewers are retards.

MrMaryLou 2005-10-05 01:01 PM

Kandah you just keep making points with reviewers |goodnight

Last time I looked, your server was more than 1 hop away from Richard's reviewers & as far as I know, they have no control over the routers & whatnot between you & them.

Move on.

2msacras 2005-10-05 02:18 PM

I wasn't going to say anything when I read that thread on the other board...but c'mon this a business. Even if you do this as a hobby or do this part time this is a business. We've all had problems but running to the board and saying fuck you fuck this doesn't solve anything. It makes more enemies and makes you look unprofessional.

Just my two cents.

SirMoby 2005-10-05 02:28 PM

I pay to submit there and I have the same frustration but I also understand it's part of doing business.

RawAlex 2005-10-05 02:36 PM

Richards is a little tougher than most, I feel that some of their reviewers might not be on the most direct connections and that makes somewhat slow sites be very slow - and that gets you rejected.

Your comments on the other board honestly make you a candidate for blacklisting... but that is just me.

Alex

natalie 2005-10-05 05:26 PM

:P I couldnt read that thread cos it loaded too slow

natalie 2005-10-05 05:27 PM

Actually.. I reject all the time for sites not loading fast enough. And RR sends awesome traffic. Way to cut your balls off mate.

Boogie 2005-10-05 09:35 PM

I can honestly say that for richards traffic, I would have fucking found a server close enough to be fast for richards reviewers ;)

just me tho. I suppose your way of badmouthing one of the oldest and most respected names in the industry is certainly an alternative, albeit not a very smart one.

Lunatic 2005-10-05 09:53 PM

Richard's Realm has some of the highest quality tgp traffic out there. It converts! Plus I don't know of any other tgp that sends rejection emails thanking you for your submission and inviting you to resubmit your site once you correct the reason for the decline. :) Maybe they get slow loading times because of their being in the UK? I think it takes a good tier one network sometimes for some locations around the world.

Mizz B 2005-10-05 10:47 PM

I've been subbing galleries to Richards Realm for well over 5 years and consider his traffic to be up there with the best. I've had a few grumbles re submission process since RR went 'paid' but otherwise, I'll stick with my 5 star assessment.

kandah 2005-10-06 01:45 PM

I realise today I took it a bit too far in the heat of the moment and im sorry about that.

DJilla 2005-10-06 02:32 PM

How Long IS Too Long?

I've been curious for a while and would be interested in hearing from the LL's;

for the average free site, say 15 pics per page plus banners how long is too long at 56k for it to load?

20 seconds

DJilla 2005-10-06 05:33 PM

Riggghht! I'm always pushing with 23 - 26 seconds and have kinda been worried about that.

its good that you realize that, but i dont think that knowing you were being fucking stupid is gonna undo a lot of the damage.

I'm pretty sure that most people, especially friends of richards, is gonna remember this one.

what I specifically, will remember, is that in this reply above I quoted you still havent apologized to richard or his reviewers.

You blame them for something they cant possibly control, the number of jumps to your server and the speed to reach it, and still havent taken the time to acknowledge that.

Torn Rose 2005-10-06 06:59 PM

Well said Boogie.

kandah 2005-10-06 07:08 PM

Sorry Richard for the stupid attack and sorry the reviewers.

Mr. Blue 2005-10-07 12:39 AM

RR is a solid reputable tgp and well worth the $35 a month. If you're getting those warnings at RR for a slow server, imagine how many other tgp's are turning you down per day for the same thing.

I submit on average of 90 galleries a month since they went paid and I've only had 1 gallery rejected for a html error on my part. So how many months have they been paid? 4 months? I've submitted 360 galleries and only 1 got rejected and for an error I caused.

The thing with RR is that unlike 99% of other tgp's...they send out reasons for you getting rejected. When I started my own tgp I did the same because I always appreciated the rejection letter when I was a submitter. A very small percentage of people appreciate that, a lot of people argue with you, and even more just completely ignore it. So, the rejection letter is a good thing if you pay attention to it...if you don't...well, you don't know how many TGP's (and LL for that matter) are tossing your pages out for the very same reason.

Also, through my many months of submitting and getting in the TGP game myself, I've had the pleasure of getting to know some of the reviewers. A top notch group of honorable webmasters, many of which run their own tgps, and some of the most helpful people in the adult business. It's unfortunate that they get beat up so regularly at paypond by some nickel posters.

btw, kendah isn't a bad guy, I've talked with him a few times on ICQ, even did a little business with him. Hopefully this was just a momentary lack of judgment on his part and his apology will be accepted as a sincere one.

SirMoby 2005-10-07 12:45 AM

I'll agree with you Mr. Blue. I had a chat with Kandah and he seems like a good person going through a stressful time. I'd probably jerk him around a little but I'd forgive him :)

Beachbum 2005-10-07 01:48 AM

If the reviewer denies you then fix your shit or move on. Don't bite the hand that feeds ya is what I say. If you have time to bitch about a gallery getting rejected then you got to much time. You should either be playing more golf or building more galleries.
