Linklists with 2 link recips....3 link recips....4 link...
 

I'm thinking we should start a list now that we and others are enforcing a 2 link out recip rule on our LLs.

What I don't want to happen is people to see that "newbie LL has 4 outbound links"...then remove them for good....and meanwhile that LL updates....and losses all his submitters......so although that may happen.....I think this list should be made...

I'm only small fry, but I don't have a problem with 3 or 4 links on a recip, if a warning page has 9 recips with say 3 of those having 4 links out, the rest only 2, that's 24 links from recips, same as having 12 recips with 2 links, and less than 15 recips with 2 links.

Interesting that another thread seems to have people agreeing that for example 24 custom recips are a good thing to be encouraged (48 links there) the number of outgoing links on a table of 12 or 15 is frowned upon. I agree that 10 links are a bad thing on 1 recip, but 3 or 4 I don't think is going to make an impact on any possible negative issues.

Those freesites that link back to LLs link to pages that in some cases have hundreds or thousand(s) of outgoing links, so if there is a penalisation for linking to a page with many outbound links won't the freesites get penalised, thus leading the LL to be penalised for linking to a freesite that links to a 'link farm'?

I'm not changing anything. If a builder wants to change my recip to conform to another sites rules that is their choice but remember I may or may not list it because I've seen too many bad redone recips.

The recips now available online at Fetish Philes have 2 link tags :)

I've been following this debate, and the related thread about lots of custom recips on a page, with great interest. When I get back to submitting I think I'll be building one index with many custom recips, likely with a max of 2 links per recip, and another page (or pages) for those LLs that don't want to reduce their links / don't want custom / don't care etc.

For that purpose a definitive list of which LLs want what recip options would be extremely handy. It'd also be interesting to know if the LLs listsed above, or any others that are enforcing this rule, have noticed any downturn in submissions since it was introduced.

My recips have always been 2 links...and will remain so :)

Personally, I never really had a problem with listing sites that had 3 link recips. 4 links was pushing it, but I'd still list the site if everything else was top notch. Anything more than 4 links, and I was declining the sites...that's just fuckin greedy.

All that said, the primary reason I'm jumping on the 2 link wagon is that I happen to like the sites that have implemented that rule. And I very much appreciate seeing my recip on the same page with theirs. Continuing to allow more than 2 link recips would pretty much ensure my recip would no longer be on pages with those other sites. Soooo, I admit it...I'm a recip whore :D

Hmm I am not keen on listing a site where all the recips have one or two links and then one of the recips have 3 or 4. Thats unfair distribution of links. So therefore you can add me to the list as theres no way a submitter will find (or bother to group) 12 recips that have 3 or 4 links in each.

Uhhh - youve got me listed in there and I dont think I ever said that - I think what I said is that its fucking stupid that anyone is even considering this as a SE strategy and that Im offering all of my recips with one link - its gotten frigging ridiculous the number of rules that people have for a damn LL - for what? the possibility that a free site might give you .00000000009 % of a PR boost |pokefun|

I hear ya Linkster....didn't say you have this rule....just listing all <2 recip linklists. I agree that its not a great rule...and as I was a site with 3 link recips for the last year or more...I can't say I'm a fan.....but if some of the big boys and others sway this way.....people need to know what sites should/can be listed together. correct?
You wouldn't want a recip on a page with 7 other recips....and one of them happens to have 4 links out.....and the other 6 decline the free site. At least that is my concern...

trust me...I'm not a fan of only 2 out...but if thats they way the game is gonna be played....lets list 2 or less recip sites...

Thats the idea...limit the outbound links in recips. Not that I think 2 is a perfect limit...but a few folks are pushing that number....

I agree with the concept, 3-4 links is pretty crazy. But I am not going to start declining freesites for that. I'll leave that to the big boys who can do without the submits. :)

But Sean....imagine you are listed on a free site recip table with 7 other sites that decline the free site.....and only you list it....and in turn send them traffic...google PR if you want to pretend that happens....etc....

just an off the wall thought.

For what it's worth, SmilingPussyLinks.com also has only 2 links in it's recips...

This issue is a no-brainer... there is no reason to have more than 2 links in a recip. You have your main page and you have your categories. Free sites submit to just ONE category. Your recip should match the theme of that free site. Don't you want people who are viewing a "blowjob" free site to click through to your blowjob category? Or would you rather spam them with keywords that direct them to your main page and make that surfer click an extra time to get to what they want?
