Morality/Ethics Question

This test only has one question, but it's a very important one. By giving an honest answer, you will discover where you stand morally. The test features an unlikely, completely fictional situation in which you will have to make a decision.

THE SITUATION
You are in New Orleans. There is chaos all around you caused by a hurricane with severe flooding. This is a flood of biblical proportions. You are a photo journalist working for a major newspaper, and you're caught in the middle of this epic disaster. The situation is nearly hopeless. You're trying to shoot career-making photos.
There are houses and people swirling around you, some disappearing under the water. Nature is unleashing all of its destructive fury.

THE TEST
Suddenly you see a man in the water. He is fighting for his life, trying not to be taken down with the debris. You move closer. Somehow the man looks familiar. You suddenly realize who it is. It's President George W. Bush! At the same time you notice that the raging waters are about to take him under forever. You have two options: you can save the life of the president, or you can shoot a dramatic Pulitzer Prize-winning photo, documenting the death of one of the world's most famous men.

THE QUESTION
Here's the question, and please give an honest answer....... Would you select high-contrast color film, or would you go with the classic simplicity of black and white?

HC-Majick 2005-10-20 01:44 PM

lmao.........definately black and white

If there was another photographer somewhere behind me to take a photograph of me saving him, then yes I'd save him.

Black and white is always so much more dramatic. :D

I'd be pulling a Geraldo Riviera.

I'd probably just throw pretzels at him.

Not a big change in NO during a hurricane.

MrYum 2005-10-20 10:58 PM

Hmmm...didn't see a choice for...wetting myself laughing :D

Guess I'd have to go with color film. Would want all the pretty blue colors his face turns |thumb

koalat 2005-10-20 11:26 PM

lol that's great... I think a sepia black and white might give it a nice look |pokefun|

juggernaut 2005-10-20 11:27 PM

I would whip out my 35x350 4.0 zoom and go wide on 1/2 the roll and then blast the last seconds of him going under with the other 1/2 of the roll zoomed right on his face. All BXW of course for the dramatic effect.

lmao, that was a classic :D Color film for me |thumb
