Help - new member can't post...?!

I'm writing for fellow webmaster friend who is logged in here but cannot post.

Said he signed up for the boards, and it accepted and let him in with the user name and password he set up, but he can't post, and hasn't received an email with any confirmation link from the boards and it's been a couple days.

Is there a specific email address he should contact for some troubleshooting help?

Thanks-
CatsEye

I'm sure Jim or GG will be along to help with this. :)

What the username? I can have the script re-email them the activation link.

OK. Now I feel like a complete jackass! I want to thank greenguy & catseye for pointing something out to me that I had no idea existed!

Two months ago I switched ISP's. This is my third ISP in six years.

I signed up for the board here. I didn't get a confirmation email. But, I could log in. I even changed my password and the board did send me a confirmation for the password change. So now I'm just completely confused...

I ICQ greenguy and he tells me it's a problem on my side. But I just can't figure out why. I do have a spam filter on my email proggie, but I never use it.

I ICQ CatsEye and she tells me that my ISP must be blocking the mails.

I log into my account at the ISP, then I log into my ISP's webmail, something I have never done, and guess what?! My ISP has a feature called SpamGuard Plus and it's automatically set to "On" as the default. Not only that but it "automatically learns by your browsing habits what is and isn't spam." I was so pissed when I found this out. I'm so glad that my ISP thinks it nows what's best for me. There were 285 emails in the junk folder and maybe 20 of them were actual spam. They were all biz related and confirmation links for TGP/MGP & linklists.

Thanks for helping out & thanks for opening my eyes, I'm sorry for wasting your time.

At least I can finally post now!
