Making Money From Affilates

Is anyone out there making good money from affilate programs? By good money I mean more than $500 a month? I have been at this for awhile and I think over the past year I have made just a little more than that TOTAL.

If anyone has any suggestions on how to make some good money from affilate programs please let me know.

Thanks

DT

I'm sorry, I'm not exactly following your post.

Are you an affiliate asking more ways to make money, or a program owner, asking ways to make more money off your affiliates?

Trying to make more money from affiates.

You mean am I making $500 or more a month promoting a program like NS Cash? Yes I make more than $500 a month promoting them and many sponsors.

How are you promoting and what sponsors are you promoting?

If you are wondering why you arent getting more hits either from your affiliates or to your affiliates (still not sure if you have sponsors or have affiliates that signed up for your program) but the site listed in your profile currently goes to a page that says account is suspended. Regardless of what your situation is (sponsor hits or affiliates sending hits) no one can send anything to a site that isn't up.

If I understand your last comment, you have affiliates promooting your program? Yes, I have affiliates that make more then $500 a month promoting my affiliate program.

I also make more then $500 a month as an affiliate promoting other programs.

Without more information it's not easy to understand your exact question or more importantly provide you with information that could help you make more then $500. Talk to us. Show us some samples.

Either way the answer to your question is YES. Many people here are making more then $500 a day as affiliates or through affiliates.

First off how many LLs are you submitting to? And how many sites do you create? To make good money from freesites alone you need to submit 1 new site all to the big LLs and a few dozen of the medium ones EVERY SINGLE DAY for a few months, before you start to make money.

Also make sure they are all (or most) listing you. That ad at the top of the pages seems a bit big for many of the big LLs, some won't list you with it (I think, I wouldn't use it myself anyway).

If you have the time you could also submit the galleries to the big TGP sites as well, but only if you have time after creating and submitting a free site a day, since TGPs will not make you as much as free sites.

drtongue,

You have 6 different sponsors on one site and very little text. Many surfers are Banner blind...meaning they fly right past banners. Text sells them...get them hot and bothered about the site you are trying to push them to buy. It's terribly hard to get a surfer to beleive any one sponsor is the ONE they have just GOT to see when you are promoting so many in 4 pages.

Many people find that different things work for them, but personally I push one sponsor per free site and have an alternative link to something else if thats not what the main site I am pushing is not what they are looking for at that time.

You are also giving an awful lot of free pics away for nothing. A free site doesnt need 40 pics, you are giving the surfer plenty to look at...give them less and make them want to see more...that's what your sponsor is for, to sell them on ALL the pics, etc that they have to offer.

Just my quick two cents....

Ramster 2005-10-31 02:11 PM

As already said make your free sites focused on 1 sponsor with maybe a second one on the main page but that's it.

Talk to the surfer. Use text, LOTS of it!!! Make the surfer horny by telling him things about the site you are trying to sell. Surfers read text and click on it. Get the text from the pay site you are promoting that way when they get to the tour the paysite is saying the same things you were. (do not copy word for word though)

I was gonna reply to this thread earlier, but the coffee hadn't kicked in yet - and it's a good thing I didn't, cause I had a lot of ideas on how to get more people into an affiliate program :D

drtongue - those that promote other peoples sites are "affiliates"

drtongue 2005-10-31 02:28 PM

Greenguy, mine did not kick in when I wrote it.

The trick with coffee is to drink three or four cups before you get out of bed, then you're ready for anything.

Now that's a tall order. My kidneys have usually kicked into overdrive before I've finished the second cup. :D

Hey drtongue,

Since that looks like a free site am I safe in assuming you don't own an affiliate program? :)

First, there was a recent thread posted by cybersexhound where alot of good posts were made about kickstarting your sales.

Also, don't wait a year to ask what the hell went wrong :) There's alot of information out there and plenty of people willing to answer questions.

Regarding your free site:

You can't rely just on banners and photos to make money for you. If you were a car salesmen, would you try to sell cars without talking to your customers?

As MML said on OTB, there are three types of surfers: 1) Label readers - people who like to read detail info about their product before deciding to buy 2) Impulse buyers - people who sees a hot pic and whip out their credit card 3) People who walked into the store already knowing what they're going to buy.

Build your site to sell to all three types of surfers. Use killer photos that gets YOU hot and write horny text; Accentuate what's unique about the site using specifics thats believable, not bullshit like "300,000 video clips." Clearly define what the site is selling (e.g. Amateur teen solo site with 24/7 live cam).
