Question on Links/Link back?
 

Can someone please clear something up for me?

As I understand it, if you put a link on your home page for another site, they will reciprocate and put yours on their site? Is that how it works? And presumably yours and their site gets a boost of traffic?

If so, i'd like to do this, but I guess it must be a hit or miss kind of thing.

How to find the right guys? Post on links forum?

Thats how it should work, but just because you put up a link on you site to another, does not mean they will put up a link back to your site. You do usually need to have something to offer in return, say some traffic or PR on your site. For link trades, check out the link trade forum on this board.
