Happy Sunny Christmas Light Hanging Saturday

Well, I cooked all afternoon yesterday and I will be cooking all afternoon today. My boys will be here probably around noon for the Christmas Light Hanging job.

I should be around until about noon.

Went to sleep last night at 9:30. My sleep cycle has been just totally fucked since this last storm.

Christmas stuff is already up since I don't put anything up. :D

Just taking it easy today. Did some grocery shopping yesterday but even after going to three stores still couldn't find all the things that I normally buy. Wonder how long it will be before the stores get completely stocked again?

good morning - well - a good 3.5 hours sleep and Im raring to go again - damn nyquil and redbull what a combo.

Hopefully my Swisher log splitter will be here today - and they were smart enough to ship it with hydraulic fluid already loaded - not that with this cold Ill be doing much outside but it'll look like I am anyway :)

oh yeah - and to make sure - I have to test the outside christmas lights to make sure they still work - havent had them on since July

Once these lights are up around the peak of our house, they are staying. I bought a new kind that uses LEDs that are supposed to last over 10,000 hours. Quick math tells me that's 41 years of average use :)

How well do they stand up in hurricanes?

We hung ours at the stores last weekend.. all the vendors on my row got together and we all agreed on the same color..ok well except for 2.. so we are either the Great White Way.. or the Red LIght District depending on who you ask.

I said.. lets leave them up all year.. at least we'd be noticed.

that's about it.. Candling today.. gonna try to use my neighbors phone for wifi hook thru.. not sure how that works but the guy 2 blocks over told me he'd do it for me.. so maybe i'll be OTBing today!! woot. |bananna|

Way too early to think about christmas lights...it's not even turkey day yet :D

Maybe combine Thanksgiving and Christmas together and hang dead turkeys around the outside of your house.

Cleo, how do you propose lighting those turkies up? High voltage?

Anyway, without thanksgiving, nobody in the US would know when to start shopping for Christmas! :)

Good evening. You are all way a head of us as far as Christmas lights! Haven't even dug them out yet.

Well we had a horrbile day today. Went to Lakeland, my nephew is dying of cancer and took a turn for the worse on Friday they don't expect him to make till the end of the week. Ok god and all is really in doubt in my mind now. My nephew had cancer at 15 put up a long hard fight for two years and made it!! Now at 31 with a 2 year old daughter he gets it again????? WTF so unfair.

I come here and hear about poor digfan going threw it now. I'm so sorry for her.

At least there was good news though. As CelticTiger has a new baby boy. And Jim will have a grandson on Monday!

All I can say is thanks for my grandson, after the day we had today he is the best cure I know of. I walked in the house and he was so happy to see me. Huged me and said "I love you Nanny" just what I needed. It's really a way to keep smilling no matter how much you feel life sucks!
