LL's Prefer Free Sites vs Galleries vs TGP's
 

Because I want to be rich and powerful when I grow up just like GG&J I'm putting the finishing touches on my own new LL which I hope will be done in the next few weeks.

With regards to Categories:

Though there are exceptions of course it is obvious that most LL's that do free sites don't list galleries or tgp's or if they do they generally have another list for those. And most LL's listing galleries don't want the FS. WHY? Why not list them all together under distinct categories? TGP's are sort of understandable they are a different animal but why not galleries? The only answer I can come up with is the Warning Page. What's your thought!

What difference do you see between listing TGP's and galleries. As I read it with "TGPs" you mean TGP Galleries and with "Galleries" you mean, well, something else...

There are of course combinations type sites that have free sites & galleries, but they are not one or the other.

Lots of TGP's accept galleries from free hosts, because this is only one day listing. But linklist owners want to see freesite,gallery working for a long time.

The problem we have with one-page sites as opposed to multiple-page freesites is that a large percentage of the one-page site submissions are from spammers and scammers. I don't know why that is. But when you've got hundreds of submissions to review, our reviewers have a tendency to just delete the one-page sites without really looking at them, knowing that most of them won't follow the rules anyway.

For submitter is more profitable to get the same traffic to freesite, not to gallery. For linklist owner is more profitable to list galleries because surfers like galleries more.

Surfn's Links is one of those "combinations type sites that have free sites & galleries" that GG referred to, if that helps since I still do not fully understand your question. |huh

For those that didn't understand my phrasing the above answer is on point. This is what I was talking about:

Great majority of LL's will specifcally EXCLUDE single page gallery submissions or TGP's and at best have a different LIST altogther not a category to use. I want to be flexible and inclusive but I believe in copying what works and if the majority has a general trend I want to stay within the herd with my LL too!

An example of an LL that PREFERS single page submissions would be The Hun

TheHun is a TGP, not a LL.

I understand what you're asking, and as a newish link list ourselves, I don't see a big deal in accepting galleries to start out...but overall it seems you want to work your way to having a good list of free site submitters submitting to you daily.
