Yes, Jel is very aware of this. ABC Bristol, the registrar, fucked up.

Check out the renewal date and keep in mind that today is the 4th.

Sexvilly 2005-12-04 10:35 PM

isn't there usual one month period when the registar keep the domain for you after it's expired? |confused|

anyway, hope Jel will sort this problem asap. I enjoyed partnership with his site as well as traffic.

Jel 2005-12-05 12:20 AM

Yep, a mixture of fuckups has caused a problem, I'd hoped it would have been sorted out pretty quick, but seems it's going to be a couple of hours at least until this gets resolved when the regisirar get's into his office.

I had an old email address on their file, thus:

"To answer your original mail first.

a) The system attempted to send you 4 e-mails, to the address that we have on file for you, which is in the btopenworld domain. These were sent at 30 days to renewal, 15 days to renewal, 10 days to renewal and 5 days to renewal.

All 4 of these messages bounced.

Therefore, it was concluded automatically by the system, that you were unreachable.

b) as stated in a) you were considered to be unreachable, which is why the decision to suspend the domain was made. However, I will concede that this was done early, and should not have happened until 23:59 on 5th Dec.

Part of this process, is to change nameservers, so that the domain remains within our umbrella. As you were (or appeared to be) unreachable, this was done without reference to yourself."

Pissed off is an understatement :)

Domain is back up :)

Sucks when that happens.
