Damn i keep lurking this board but never post...

i got a question though and i dont know a better place than this board to ask it,

What adult directories and searchengines should i submit my site to? which ones are worth it and which one are bad for seo to be "connected" with?

That's a tough question to answer. I think you'll probably get a wide variety of different responces and you may find people don't give out completely accurate information that's taken them years to gather.

That being said, spending a little time in the Link List and SE forum, watching sigs and sorting the good/bad posts you'll be able to get get your own opinions.

That pretty much depends on what kind of sites you're building.

You of course want everything to be listed in the SE's but I haven't submitted a site to any SE in years (it's better to let the SE's find you thru trades & whatnot)

I would say, any directory that has ontopic pages for you, has clean HTML links (no redirects) and under 30 outgoing links per page.

I use a customized script for three-ways exchanges too. Doesn't get any better for SEO purposes!

The site SirMoby showed you freesitexxx.com is a good site to submit to. XPorn owns it, lots of SE traffic.

Do a search on the board as there have been many posts about top link lists, link lists to submit to and so on.

I didn't say I'd list them lol, only that he can submit them. Big difference ;)

Not that they are, but you'd let someone submit their sites if they were CP sites? Rape? Incest? Surfer traps? Full of blind links? Spyware installing? Consoles? Disabled back buttons?

Point is, why tell him to check out your directories if you have no idea what kind of sites he builds?

..and just an FYI, this thread will probably get moved once remote tells us what kind of sites he's building :)

People can submit anything they like, as long as they follow the guidelines in the submission page (which should rule out certain sites). Inviting them to submit doesn't mean the guidelines won't apply. Within the guidelines they can submit whatever they want. It does not mean that the sites will be accepted. It's my job as the editor to screen out the junk and accept only the quality sites.

The reason I'm pointing people to my directories is simple. They're new and I want to get the word out. Blatant self promotion ;) hope that's allowed here. If not, I will delete my comment above and add sincere noob apologies.

Is there a "live/cam" category there that I'm missing?
Maybe off-topic but why do so few adult directories have a category for live chat/webcams?
Is it taboo?
Is it they all cut & paste their categories from existing, established directories?
Since cams are relatively new they are all too lazy to add a new cat.?

One other thing that gets missed here but that may just be some confusion as to what remote is looking for - he did say directories - not Linklists, and Id be willing to bet that they are probably pornstar related search engine type sites that he's trying to get listed.
Remote - I would recommend DMOZ as a start as that is what Google uses for its directory so it givess you a little built in boost. The rest of the directories that I can think of either dont exist anymore or skim their listings from the search engines so again the DMOZ helps the most.

Also - Bomis allows you to submit sites (usually works better if you put up a recip) to their rings or you can start your own ring - ex. http://www.bomis.com/rings/hardcorejenna/ where you can list by a girls name. You do have to sign up for a free membership beifre you can submit.

My bad, ofcourse it matters. As linkster said, im work with the pornstar niche.

And yes, i asked for help with directories, such a dmoz etc but adult related, not linklists. There is already a great resource for that here on this board.|thumb

I agree...depends on what kind of sites you plan to build and submit....there are a lot of similarities between LL's but at the same time there are differences. Note as well, that there are Link Directories (such as mine) that are not LL's but still provides the traffic but often includes additional features and options. And of course....search engines are important so submit to as many as you can. Remember to optimize your site(s) and always build for the search engines! There are some specific adult search engines out there to consider as well.

Over time, you will be able to monitor (yes keep track of them) all resources you submit your sites to and know which ones put the effort in to helping you in one way or another and not just file you away in a dusty basement and forget about you.
