To LL owners: My server was hacked!:/

Well,
As it it written in topic my serv had been hacked or whatever but it doesnt work anyway(some damn exploits). My domain xfreesitez.com will be offline for this day. I just want you to know that. Can I also ask you not to remove my freesites from listing yet? I am working on the problem right now so hopefully I manage to solve it soon.

Regards,
Blnt

Have a look at Ad-Aware from www.lavasoft.com
There is a free version (Ad-Aware SE Personal) available on their site. |headbang|

Don't forget to turn on the firewall.

MrYum 2005-12-13 04:22 PM

In addition to the other suggestions, I also run this little gem;

http://www.microsoft.com/athome/secu...e/default.mspx

M$ bought out Giant software some time back and re-labeled their spyware sweeper. Does a fine job and helps keep my system free of nasties |thumb

Almost forgot to mention...sorry to hear about the hack :( Been there, done that...a long time ago...it sucks |angry|

Hope they get you up and running again soon!

In my opinion the best anti-spyware/virus software out there is zonealarm's security suite. Can't go wrong with this gem

Blnt 2005-12-13 04:56 PM

thanks, Ill try ad-aware and other stuff but now I gotta trun my server back on-line blah lot of work to do..

Blnt 2005-12-15 07:17 PM

I just wanna let you know that I am up now and everything works even better:) I got new disk with new system so there is not suposed to be any further problems with my sites.

You are fucking banned

Xeno 2005-12-15 08:16 PM

Sucks when things like that happens...but yes, make sure y ou have your antivirus and firewall up to date on a regular basis. Using spyware detectors is something I run on a weekly basis and one thing...if you have a firewall, NEVER turn it off for anything while connected.

Very good software |thumb

I can add: Norton Internet Secority - I've heard a lot of good words about this software.

I think it's good to use FireWall in addition to antispyware software (ZoneAlarm and Outpost are good ones). And it's good to update your windows when you see new security updates on microsoft site ;)
