I wouldn't say there's any definitive target number (or method for that matter). QUALITY (relevant) traffic in SMALLER amounts can often be much more fruitful than a MASSIVE amount of shit traffic... Outside of affiliate traffic, you're looking at things like TGP gallery submissions, freesites, potential members area link trades with sites similar to yours, blog, big list of ways to promote... :)

URL? Spamming the program to webmaster boards, if allowed, is probably the easiest way to get affiliates. Unless you'd rather limit your program to only the more established high-traffic/sales producing members of the adult community... Pro's & Con's to both. What you offer to your affiliates in the way of marketing tools will have a pretty big impact as well. Not having seen your program, the common thing that keeps me from joining any program is a total lack of promotable content. The days of "post our banner with your referral code" are long dead. Personally, as a gallery builder, I've got to have content to build galleries out of. TGP owners might want FHG's, LL owners might want hosted freesites, etc etc. :) Without seeing your site/program that's the generic recommendations i have |thumb

200 uniques a day is not a lot of traffic. I get that already on strange attractor and I have done no promotion at all on the site cos its still in beta, folk seem to be finding it off my sextracker counter and bookmarking it where its changing every day. You are welcome to add a link on strange attractor just make sure you describe your site properly as a paysite and give it a good thumbnail... submit in several categories with different thumbnails if you want. If you dont mention paysite in the link text I dont mind - lots of folk just click on links and dont bother switching to gallery view. Just give me a nice recip some place on your site. Anywhere that reachable by google and that has some text on the page will do. Mail me as webmaster at kwikfire dot com to tell me where the recip is and I will accept your link. Traffic on site will increase dramatically in a few weeks time when I am dead sure script is stable and promotion starts.

Your affilate program should be closed until you know what your doing. Do you know how the paysite converts? How it retains? You should'nt open a affiliate program until you have tested the site throughly to make sure it sells and keeps members, otherwise you could be wasting other webmasters hard earned traffic and in the end getting a bad rep for your program. Not giving you a hard time, just something to think about.

As for promoting your paysite, usually you keep the paysite clean of traffic leaks and use feeders to bring in the traffic. Feeders could be free sites, avs sites or tgp galleries that advertise your paysite. I personally would'nt be spending money on adwords until you know the site sells and retains, could be wasting alot of cash.

Here's hoping it's the latter! :D

I have no idea what scally is myself or how it pertains to an adult site.

Biggest problem I see with your site is the java applet. I would avoid using any java because when the hard drive starts grinding, some surfers will close the window.

200 hits a day is very small traffic
adwords right now is only a waste
you're not ready yet for your own aff prog
but is this paysite your first and only site (in adult)?
this is not the best choice to start with a paysite

And Google doesn't like Java either. Plain HTML + some needed php will do better I guess.

Thanks for the advice guys

Matt will get a link added to my site then add to strange attractor,

I have no idea at the moment what the conversion ratios are like but I know that the site is paying for itself.

Xray this is my first paysite but it started out as a free site with just a few photos of me and some mates and as people kept asking for more we started to charge so its developed along the way.

It's great to have a site start out for fun then turn into something you can charge for :)

Sounds like what you're looking to do now is take it to the "next level," and while that will be a lot of time and work from where you are now, if it's already making sales that's a great sign.

maxx your right it just that next step

So after talking to all of you its made me realise I need to become a affiliate so I can learn how to market sites effectively.

So watch out coz I will be asking ??? on TGP's and FHG'S:D

Cheers
