Would you watch my new site?

Hi People

I just submitted my new site:
A Nice Teen On The Beach

Please, if you find some error would you tell me it?
I would like to correct it before that the reviewer will watch it. TIA

Talleyrand

HarryM 2005-12-19 05:42 AM

I watched it for about 15 minute's but something better came on so I switched to that

rscott 2005-12-19 06:28 AM

How long are we supposed to watch? Is it going to do something special? Sorry I have to go watch "A Team" reruns.

Nuggan 2005-12-19 06:42 AM

I've been wathing (;)) your site for a while and I can tell you that http://www.freesitexxx.com recip doesn't look ok :) Try to change your default page color...

SI 2005-12-19 06:46 AM

Site looks nice and clean. In spite of your and mine "tarzan english" i'd list it. However one thing stroke my eyes, this big ugly graphic banner "CoolPornTgp", i would suggest change it with common text.

ps
Guys who can't stop jesting, probably would list it too, cuz there're no big mistakes on the site IMHO.

pps

Also i'd suggest replace "watch" with "look at" or "check out"

I think I mentioned this on the last site you posted for us here. You have to decide where you want the abundance of traffic to go. To your TGP or to the sponsor? Almost everyone who builds free sites links back to their hub, and you should, but not in such a huge way. Use text, as SI suggested, or a much smaller graphic and place it below the ENTER link. Trust me, surfers will look there and they will click it.

Nuggan 2005-12-19 08:20 AM

Linking to hubs.. hmm. On most LL a link to a hub counts as a sponsor link, right?

MadMax 2005-12-19 09:08 AM

Much better, and I agree with moving the TGP banner. Your full sized pics are overcompressed and "choppy", so that would keep you from getting listed at some LLs including mine :(

Decrease the compression on the images and they should clean up, just try to keep the file size under 75k

sue-fl 2005-12-19 09:24 AM

I agree about the link to your hub being to large. Other than that I think it looks great I'd list it..|thumb

Yahook 2005-12-19 09:49 AM

Good free site, but I would change the recip of FreeSiteXXX (white color on white background is not good).

Also it seems that your pics are overcompressed.

Your own banner of your TGP counts as sponsor link but everything os ok with linklist rules there (no more than 3 outgoing links).

MrYum 2005-12-19 09:51 AM

A much better effort Talley |thumb

However, that massive tgp banner would be an instant decline with me...it's just too freakin huge and in your face.

Also, your site title may give you problems with some sites...think many link sites have a 3 to 5 word maximum.

Other than those issues though...definitely better |thumb

Surfn 2005-12-19 10:34 AM

How much are you willing to pay me to watch it? ;)

Talleyrand 2005-12-19 01:07 PM

Hi Che!

Thank you very much!

I just corrected the errors that you told me |thumb, except the problem about some overcompressed pics.

Sadly, my TGP banner will not gain the Hollywood's Oscar the next April. |cry|

I will must to study again the difference between: to see, to watch, and to look. |goodidea

Maybe you could just make the full pics smaller in length/width? I think you don't need pics as big as 1000pxl on the longest side. I believe 750 would be fine for most LL owners. Saving on the W/L you could make the pictures better quality.

Very good advice, I agree with you.

About banner - this is the first time when someone declines site just because he doesn't like the design of some banner... And there are no any blind links on this banner.

RawAlex 2005-12-19 03:41 PM

Yeah, but at least the site wasn't declined for not having enough links to PR3 sites.

Alex

plateman 2005-12-19 04:25 PM

maybe yahook will feature it on his index in 6pt bold font LOL

Perhaps the first time you've heard of it in your sheltered existence, but certainly not the first time a site has been declined because the reviewer doesn't like a specific banner. Ya gotta remember, these are our sites...we work very hard on them...and we have every right to decline a site at our discretion.

That particular banner is overly large, obnoxious and greedy. The point of my listing free sites is to provide content to my surfers...the goal of the free site builder is to drive traffic to paysites. If the free site builder wants to siphon off SOME traffic to his own internal hub/link site/tgp...fine...no problemo. But, when the freakin banner is larger than most sponsor banners...it's no longer a small siphon...it's a freakin fire hose.

Thanks Nuggan

It is a big problem to scale the pics because the scaled jpg image at 75% is not nice. Some suggest about this problem?

Also, some sponsors have pics that are over compressed (I do not make sites with it because I am afraid that my sites will be rejected).

I can not to have Adobe in my pc. I have Graphic Workshop and Arles.

I have nothing against your rules. It's your sites, MrYum ;) I just wanted to say that I'm surprized.

Alex, why do you post offtopic message in this thread? |crazy|

Play around with Arles, it's very versitle, resize the pics and keep the compression at 90%. You should get excellent results.

Yahook 2005-12-19 06:00 PM

Talleyrand, there are lots of free image resize software on the net, for example you can check out these programs:

Surfn 2005-12-19 06:08 PM

Talleyrand

You do seem to learn fast. At least you aren't flooding this thread with a lot of worthless posts to increase your sig placement |thumb

Someone is probably bribing Alex to turn this into another looong meaningless thread :D

Nuggan 2005-12-20 07:35 AM

I use Arles, too. It's a good, simple program. I keep my jpeg quality at 90% level and just as rscott I have good results with this ratio. My pics are more or less 700-800pxl on the longest side. Pictures are in most cases smaller than 100kb which I hope is fine for most LL owners.
