Tart are you there?

Hi Tart

I just recieved a email saying that you had declined one of my submissions. After my first submission to you, you emailed back saying I needed to fix a couple of things and I took that on board, as any newbie should do. You accepted my second submission without any comments and this one you have declined, structurally I can't see that I have done anything different. I have been running all of my sites by Grandma Scrotum before submitting them to anyone fixing whatever she thinks needs to be fixed. So, if you could spell it out to me in black and white exactly what it is that I have done wrong, I would be very grateful.

Thanks

I'm not Tart.. she's the skinny one! But i can tell you off the top of my head that the 17 outbound links on the site -5 on the index and 4 on each of the internal pages- is probably the #1 reason.

Quote:

7. 3 sponsor links per page! If you have a moneybar, or links to your other sites on the bottom of your pages, each link counts as a sponsor link!
Additionally in your receipt table there are 2 that aren't linked in the 1st row.

and it would be really helpful if you'd post the link you had a question about but if anyone is curious...

The number of outgoing links was what I rejected for. Sometimes I will let an extra link slide by but as I had just rejected several of my long time submitters for having one link over, I couldn't in good conscience approve yours. The other things Doc mentioned I did notice, but wasn't anything I would reject for.
Hope that helps :)

Just be glad I don't help Santa with the naughty and nice list.. there'd be an awful lot of coal handed out |santa|

On a serious note, I don't expect my submitters to do any more then I do myself on my own free sites. In this particular case, I usually would have sent a note with the reason since Jess is new to my linklist...but I was tired and trying to finish so I could crash. It's good to know someone reads my rules on where to find me and ask questions tho!

Thanks Doc for bringing that to my attention. I had added the links, but hadn't re-uploaded the page. :D

For all that are curious, this is the site in question
http://www.eroticafortheladies.com/sofa/

This is the previous site that had been approved
http://www.eroticafortheladies.com/cocky/

I'm going to be brave and put this question out there.

Why would a webmaster change the way they produce their free sites when they are only being knocked back by 1 link list and being accepted by 11 or 12 others?

I would think that in the end most webmasters would take the same view as Surfn and stop submitting to you. But Hey, this is just the point of view of a newbie looking in from the outside.

Have a good Chrissy |santa|

Keeping up with the rules can be a challenge. Most of the time, free site builders group linklists with similar rules together. I would also like to point out that my linklist is not the only one in your recip table that has a 3 sponsor link per page rule. As with myself, sometimes the reviewer might let over 3 slide, but sooner or later they will be counting outgoing links and hit the delete on your site.
Of course, as a free site builder, I also understand dropping linklists off my submit routine if it's too much trouble to build to meet their specs. I've done it several times in fact. Enjoy your holidays, and hope to see some more of your sites in the future |santa|

The simple fact is that almost every link list has a 3 link per page rule, but sometime's you'll slip through the cracks if the reviewer is in a hurry. Also depends somewhat on what category you're submitting to, since there are times when there are just too many sites submitted to a given category and a site that follows the rules will get declined if the overall quality is less than the other submissions it's competing with. This usually only happens with the high submit categories though.

Hi Tart,

Do you include 2257 links in with your 3 outbound links?

If I had on my index/warning page: 2 sponsors with banner and text and a hub link, do you say that is 3 or 5. If I included a 2257 link would that be 3, 4 or 6.

If I did a sponsor add which is linked from the banner and a link on the text (which is directly next to the banner), do you consider that 1 or 2 links.

I'm just trying to get it all clear in my head, so that I don't have any problems in the future.

Thanks for being patient.
