A Happy and Sad Day
 

My oldest daughter is getting married :D but the sad news is they are moving to Japan where he lives. I will miss my 2 year old granddaughter |cry|

Oh spooky I feel for you! Congrats on your daughters wedding but to have your granddaughter move is sad. Thats my biggest fear that my daughter will do the same thing with my grandson. Hook them up with video phone for their pc, and plane tickets back before they go! Sorry I know that must be a hard thing to be dealing with.

congrats on the marriage of your daughter, and i believe i understand now how my dad feels about the fact i wanna move to an other country too, i have an 8 year old son and an 11 year old daughter, it where his first grandchildren, he totally flipped when i mentioned i wanna move to an other country.............i think i have to think this all over.

2 years old are just too sweet to say good bye too. A cam is a must, for sure, but nothing replaces those hugs and kisses :(

Japan can be a fun place to visit :)

Yeah Spooky... look on the upside. I have pretty much the same situation with my 12yr old daughter in Canada:

1. You have a free place to visit in Japan... the one thing I know 4 sure about Japan is that the air fare is the cheap bit .... accomodation is veeery expensive!
2. Buy them a webcam for christmas and you can see her and talk to her as much as you both want. I talk to my daughter most days.
3. When she breaks her arm falling off her bike you can sit in the comfort of your own home and chew your fingernails instead of hanging around a freezing cold hospital at 3AM.
4. You have a contact in a foreign country you can REALLY trust. Want something bought or something doing?

It aint so bad though it will hit you emotionally for a few weeks!
