Happy First Monday of 2006
 

And a fine morning to all.
I was sick most of yesterday so I went to bed at about 7:30 last night. At 7:00 this morning I woke up feeling good and rested. Nothing quite like 11 and 1/2 hours of sleep to take care of most aliments :)

Since today is the federal holiday, there won't be much running around today. No post office, no bank, if I wasn't on my last diet pepsi, I would be able to stay home all day.

Got nothing to add.

Angel has been trying to get me to go to Voodoo Lounge on Sunday night for a long time. I've been there on other nights and didn't really care for it but on Sunday night, unlike other nights, it is not straight and has drag shows and stuff. Thinking it was just going to be a club full of gay guys and some silly drag queens on a stage lip syncing I never went.

The club is actually very mixed with gay guys, lesbians, straight couples, trannies, , drag queens, drag kings, people in fetish wear, and just about everything in between. It's a really nice mix of people that are very friendly and having a good time.

They play really good trance in the main room and hip hop in the outside patio bar. I love trance and danced my ass off. Then when it was show time and they turned off the dance music I was going to leave but then this drag queen came out wearing a giant strap-on that squirted. I was like ok this is kind of funny. Then she started getting girls to come up on the stage and they rolled out a stripper pole. There is something very surreal about a drag queen wearing a squirting strap-on getting woman to take off their clothes and dance on a pole.

There was also some fetish type dancers that performed on the stage and were a lot of fun to watch and it was nice to see a lot of people that I haven't seen in a long time.

I think I've found something to do on Sunday nights again. It reminded me off the old days at The Saint which was a mixed club that I partied at a lot back in the nineties.

I've had less then three hours of sleep but have to get ready for another fun filled time at hand therapy around noon so I'll be the zombie woman today.

Not much on the "must do" list today, mostly compiling my usual end of quarter stats to evaluate sponsors and decide what sites to push more and which to back off.

It's rather grey and gloomy here and I haven't been awake very long. Now that I have my partner application page up, I should probably build a page that will allow me to view the applicants' info and accept/reject them. Got to start beating up Earl's script to bring him up to speed with the other list. Just lots of really fun shit like that. Woohoo!|cry|

Ahh... The first Monday of the year. I love the feeling of potential in the air.

No Vegas for me this year. After MANY, MANY years of doing the grind (and especially after last year's "nothing but poker" festival, I decided that I wasn't going to waste near $4000 just to be in the same city as a bunch of people I will never meet up with. I met up with and spent way more time with people in Florida in a single day than I would in Vegas anytime during this show. I am sad not to see my friends and have a good time, but the price / return ratio on being in Vegas at the busiest 4 days of the year just didn't do it for me.

Good luck and safe trip to everyone who is attending, have one for me. I look forward to the pics and the stories... in the meantime, I have porn to make :)

uh evening.. i don't know what day it is.. but i do know that starting at 8pm tonight people i personally know or want to know will start arriving on the streets of LV. it's raining. and cold. and windy.
